Ghostbusters Hamburgers: I Ain’t ‘Fraid of No Clogged Artery

I sort of wish someone here in the US would make the sort of weird hamburgers that they get in Japan on a regular basis. J.S. Burger Café in Japan has turned its burger grilling skills to making Ghostbusters themed hamburgers and they look oddly appetizing. I mean, I’m not sure what that white stuff is or what the purple is under the tomato, but I sort of want to gnaw on this thing.

The burger has black buns, black olives, anchovy paste, “bloody hot ketchup”, and some sort of weird cream. You can get one in Japan for what works out to about $15. Another option appears to be a desert burger, inspired by the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

It has white buns stuffed with marshmallows, yogurt ice cream, and cookies. It will cost you about $12. I’d like to eat them both and now I am going to have to eat a burger for lunch. Both of these burgers will be offered from July 1 to September 30, so you’ve still got plenty of time to hop on an airplane and try one for yourself.

Burger King Whopper Air Freshener: For That Fresh, Flame-broiled Scent

Your car probably already smells like a Whopper thanks to that half-eaten burger you crumpled up in the bag and tossed in the back seat, but if that’s not you, there’s a better way to get that smell. Burger King Brasil is here to help.

To celebrate the recently passed International Hamburger Day, they released a batch of Whopper air fresheners. That’s right. air fresheners that make your car smell like a flame-broiled burger. Just in case you need that smell in your car. I guess it beats rubbing meat all over your upholstery. But really, if you want your car to smell like a Whopper, just buy a Whopper. Just don’t drop any french fries under your car seat.

Japan’s Most Disgusting Burger Melds Beef, Pork, Shrimp, Eggs, and More

I love me a good hamburger, Whataburger FTMFW. I’m not that adventurous with my burgers though. I can go for a double patty, slap some bacon on it, cheese, and mustard (because mayo is the devil in my world.) I’ll go for a McRib on occasion because it’s like the only tasty thing McDonald’s makes other than fries. What I don’t want is a bunch of weirdness crammed on a bun like this Japanese burger from Lotteria.

The burger name translates into “With Everything Burger.” The name doesn’t lie either, it has lettuce, cabbage, egg, cheese, cheeseburger patty, rib patty, fried shrimp patty, beef patty, pickles and a bunch of sauce including mayo, ketchup, and teriyaki sauce.

I’m not going to lie, it rather makes me queasy thinking about all that stuff on one burger. It will set you back about 12 bucks, not counting the price of antacids to fix your tummy after you scarf it down.

Sailor Moon Hamburger Has Pink Buns and Star Hashbrowns

It’s no surprise to see strange foods and themed eateries turn up in Japan. The latest is a Sailor Moon-themed pop-up café that will be opening in Tokyo for a limited time. The Chibiusa Café will be open from April 16 through June 19, and among the items on the menu for fans of the series is this wacky hamburger.

Exactly what is in the burger we don’t know, but the image tells the tale. It appears to be a burger with pink bun, a beef patty, and slices of ham. It also has an egg on top and lettuce along with a little pot of veggies including a tiny pickle.

I really dig the star shaped hashbrowns that go with it. I know some people love it, but I’ve never understood the desire to put a fried egg on top of your burger – it seems gross to me. This Sailor Moon delicacy will set you back a bit over $14 – plus the plane fare to Tokyo.

Nightmare-inducing Hamburger Lamp Gets Revenge on People for Eating Burgers

If you have any desire to sleep, I can think of no worse item to put on your bedside table than this evil looking hamburger lamp. First released way back in 2002, this creeptastic table lamp is now back and ready to wander its way into your dreams.

The reissue of designer Jun Takahashi’s burger lamp is being produced by Medicom Toy in limited quantities, and will sell for about $150(USD). But the nightmares it will induce will be priceless.

Giant Hamburger Computer Mouse: Say What?

Lotteria is a Japanese hamburger restaurant chain, not a lottery for diarrhea like it sounds. They have a reputation for making huge, multi-patty burgers that are hard, but apparently fun to eat. Their signature burger has no fewer than five patties! It would take me a while to eat that and I’m not sure I could finish it.

If you are a fan of the Lotteria chain, here is a little something you can enjoy at home. Lotteria recently created this five-patty computer mouse as a promotional item.

If their burger is hard to eat, their mouse burger is sure to make surfing the internet just as awkward. I sense wrist/arm problems in your future. And diarrhea.

Saucony Hamburger Sneakers Look Good Enough to Eat–Well, Almost

Saucony Burger Shoes1

These sneakers might not look out of the ordinary if you look at them from the front, but check it out from all sides and your stomach might just begin to rumble. Not that it actually looks like a burger that you could sink your teeth into, but it’s clear where its designers drew inspiration for its design.

The Shadow 5000 Burgers sneakers are a result of the collaboration between Saucony and End Clothing. I guess you can think of it as some sort of ode to burgers, which has grown in popularity over the years.

The coolest thing about the sneakers is the additional packets of BBQ and Mayo laces, which let you customize the sneakers according to your taste.

The 5000 Burgers sneakers were priced at $135 and are currently sold out. Here’s to hoping they make more–and add a packet of mustard laces while they’re at it.
