Han Solo Drink Fridge is Perfect for Jabba’s Bachelor Pad

The last time we saw a fridge that looked like Han Solo frozen in carbonite it was a full size unit. If you liked the idea of that fridge, but wanted something smaller and cheaper, this is your ticket. This smaller Han Solo Fridge is sized to hold 18 cans of your favorite beverage.

Not only can the fridge cool your drinks, it can also heat stuff up. I guess if you like warm pizza you can buy one at lunch, toss the leftovers in, and turn on the heat to keep it warm for dinner. The fridge has red LEDs on the front that glow and stuff.

You can turn the LEDs off. Too bad you can’t get blue LEDs when it’s on cold and red when it’s on heat mode. It comes with a normal power cord to use in the house and a DC cord for the car. Get your own for $149.99(USD) at ThinkGeek. You’ll also want to hire a couple of Gamorreans to keep it safe from thieves.

Han Solo Carbonite Coffin Coffee Table: Only from IKEA Cloud City

The latest collectible from Awe Me’s Super Fan Builds is a coffee table based on Han Solo’s carbonite block. Because the metallic block could’ve been Han’s coffin if he wasn’t reanimated, Super Fan Builds built the table using an actual wooden coffin as its base.

Super Fan Builds built the morbid table for Ray Choi. Ray is a member of the 501st Legion, the world famous group of Star Wars cosplayers that use their talents and costumes to participate in charitable events. As the icing on this cold death cake, Super Fan Builds put Ray’s face on Han’s frozen body and gave him a Han Solo costume.

This is one of the few presents that’s equally appropriate for someone you love and someone you hate.

Han Solo and Chewbacca Action Figures from Hot Toys

With the new Star Wars films coming, you can bet a slew of new toys to go along with that film are in the works too. Some of the toys will certainly be of new characters while others will be of the old characters we know and love.

Hot Toys has unveiled some very high-end looking 1/6th scale action figures of Han Solo and Chewbacca. Each action figure has over 30 points of articulation and a slew of accessories including hands for Han. Chewy looks exactly like I remember him from the original trilogy. Han on the other hand looks a bit off to me.

Perhaps they couldn’t get the rights to actually use Harrison Ford’s face to make the action figure. It sort of looks like him, but doesn’t at the same time. The figures will land in the first half of 2015 with pricing and exact date unknown.

Clearly, the first person who says, “I love that dress” has to be met with the “I know” response. The coolest part about this dress is that all the accessories are printed on so it’s one-stop cosplay. You can pick the dress up now at ThinkGeek for $44.99(USD).

Lego Electronic Gun That Emulates Star Wars Han Solo’s Gun

Electronic Lego gun

If you are obsessed with Star Wars, then you are most definitely going to like any DIY project that aims at replicating one of the many unique props used in this epic super-galactic saga. Baran von Brunk, who is an avid DIYer, has built an Electronic Lego gun, emulating Han Solo’s weapon and named it ‘The Electronic LEGO DL-44 Blaster (Light & Sound)’. Made completely from Lego bricks, this electronic gun has an Arduino board to control all the fancy electronic and sound effects that set forth once you pull the trigger.

All the electronics and audio parts have been salvaged from hacked Radio Shack parts, whereas the programming for the Arduino board took Baran quite a while to figure out. If you want to make your own version of this gun, just follow Baran’s steps, listed on the following Instructables link.

Star Wars Episode VII Rumored to See Millennium Falcon Updates and New Owner

If you ask me, some things just go together, like peanut butter and jelly, burgers and fries, and Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon. A supposed set leak from the set of Star Wars: Episode VII suggests that the Falcon we see in the new film won’t look exactly like the Millennium Falcon we saw in the original trilogy.

falcon 960 620x427magnify

I guess that will be easy to justify since the new movie is set 30 years after the original trilogy. Presumably, the Falcon would have needed a refit at some point. Take a look at the two pictures below and see if you can spot the differences inside the cockpit. They’re pretty subtle, but there are definitely differences.

The Falcon is also said to no longer be owned by Han Solo in this film. The Falcon is instead owned by an as yet unnamed character played by actor Oscar Isaacs.

I really hope the new movies are good, as many fans of the original trilogy were very disappointed in Episodes I-III.
