Compact, portable gas stove eliminates wire mesh, making it easy to clean after camping outdoors!

Camping is a great activity to venture out from your comfort zone into an environment that’s different. If your next awesome expedition is leading you to colder locations, it’s befitting to pack a portable gas stove along so the effect of temperature variation is minimized and you’re cozy irrespective of the weather outside the tent. Camping heater is a tried and tested domain where a range of manufactures have conceptualized their own variations. Once dependent on wood-fired stoves, the industry has evolved into portable gas stoves, yet design progress remains attainable.

A gas stove designed with motifs of a cart has been conceptualized by a Seoul-based designer to that accord. Dubbed “HAUL”, the minimalist gas stove is perceived in an inviting color combination, has a brilliant overall design, which relies on the convenience of portability and eliminates the metal mesh from the heating surface. The highlight of the HAUL, as the designer mentions is its neat design. The stove is redesigned sans “protruding wire mesh,” which is a disadvantage with conventional gas stoves. In addition, the compact heater is designed to be lightweight and has an integrated stable stand and a carry handle. The interesting red and white gas stove has a rotating knob on the top for temperature control and ignites the stove or turns it off when not required.

The gas heater comes with a simple clip-in gas canister that goes into its compartment at the back of the HAUL and is convenient to install and replace. We are not sure of what material the designer intends to deliver the gas stove in, but going by the design we are sure, it will ensure hassle-free installation and deliver instant heat to cozy up your tent or tiny house the moment you get it out of the car boot!

This sleek blade-free desk fan is your portable companion in summers as well as winters!

Sharing office space, the biggest problem, after having to listen to my co-working space neighbor aka my husband speaking on a call is trying to regulate a temperature that works for us. I love staying warm – the AC temperature goes lower than 20 and my fingers start freezing whereas my husband sweats bullets while staying in a 25-degree temperature. That sweet spot, it’s almost a myth for us! What I need is a solution that works for both of us depending on the season – and flo, by designer Soyoung An seems to be an apt design for my needs!

The flo is a desk fan that is portable by nature. The fan’s facade is actually covered – no more hurting your finger by occasionally poking into the blades. The fan can be regulated using a temperature dial at the back of flo – allowing you to easily switch between heating and cooling functionalities. One of the better functionality of the design is the use of a filter, that purifies the air being thrown at you, rather than having the dust from your fan blades being thrown at you. The fan also uses a simple USB-C cable to stay charged at all times. Flo’s aesthetics are simple, yet minimal, making it an easy to own and use piece over the years. And given how it works for all seasons – it reduces the storage space required for the off-seasons.

Muted colors of the flo elevate this design from an ordinary accessory to a statement piece in your setup. The design is also simple, almost intuitive to use with an upgraded functionality – isn’t that what great product design is all about!

This retro desk heater takes on a cylindrical shape and glossy finish to fit into and warm up any home office!

Home offices are meant to be cozy and relaxed– a private escape to finish up work in a place that’s far away from the distractions and noise of crowded office buildings. When designing home offices, while they should reflect that feeling of respite, a solid amount of home comforts should always come first, and that includes personal heaters. Those oscillating bounties of warmth cuddle up next to our feet to keep our bottom half toasty, so designer Dadaism J created a personal heater for the desk, so our top-halves can keep warm too.

Sometimes home offices are located in the rooms that no one else wanted– the renovated garage without heat or the entryway of the basement that comes with a door that locks. Home offices don’t always come equipped with the comforts or luxuries of fully insulated office buildings, so having a desk heater to keep warm during the colder months might be just what a home office needs to keep the workday going. Dadaism J’s desk heater wears a glossy, retro finish and takes a vertical, cylindrical shape to easily fit onto any desk in any office.

Dadaism J’s portable Desk Heater is a wired appliance that works in a similar fashion to traditional space heaters, by simply plugging the Desk Heater’s cord into the wall, the appliance disperses warm air into the room. Embedded inside Desk Heater’s main compartment, heat coils convert the electrical energy into heat, sending it through the heater’s diagonal plastic grating. Throughout Desk Heater’s build, minimalist accents like the grating give the appliance a finished look. Desk Heater echoes the design language of retro ‘50s home appliances through its slick, glossy finish, but packs the heat with an intuitive control panel fit for today.

Designer: Dadaism J

Taking the visual design language of retro 50s appliances, Desk Heater dons a reflective, glossy exterior to brighten up the home office.

An intuitive control panel is located on the Desk Heater’s top so users can adjust settings however they like.

Coming in optic white, burnt neon orange, and stone blue – the Desk Heater can fit into any home office.

This ‘Among Us’ inspired heater does its one task pretty well!

A slightly stout and pudgier version of the Among Us astronauts, the Weird Heater (that’s what it’s called, apparently) is a pretty adorable anthropomorphic appliance that emits heat from its ‘face’. With an air intake on the back that pulls cool air in, the heater’s internal coils warm the air up before finally pushing them out the front… If the heater had a face-mask and foggy glasses, it would be the ultimate symbol of this pandemic.

The presence of an air-intake on the back means that the heater doesn’t have its signature Among Us backpack, but there’s a knob on the side that lets you power the device and control its temperature/intensity, oscillating between two settings. I’d call this concept pretty cool… but for a heater, that would be incredibly sus.

This humidifier-heater appliance will keep you healthy and warm all year round

We have all been here – you are sick, you have chills so you turn up the heat but that makes your room dry, meanwhile, your tea gets cold and you are too tired to go heat it up for the fourth time. And if you are anything like me you have probably tried to warm your tea in front of the heater but obviously failed. That is exactly when we need a product like Heattle – a heater and humidifier in one that uses the simple mechanism of a kettle. Now you see why the reheating-my-tea part was important?

Heaters usually make the air in any room dry and arid which can cause dry eyes, sore throat, and colds – not the best when you are sick, getting chills and all you want to do is feel the warmth. Heattle creates a balance by maintaining the humidity in the air at a recommended 40-60% which is healthier for you and also keeps the room warm for a longer period of time thus saving energy (we all know how the electric bill shoots up in winter)! The inspiration for its form was the visual of a warm kettle on a cold winter day and Heattle manages to radiate that exact emotion through its design. It not only heats the room but also creates an emotional connect to the product itself.

The three settings of Heattle are Warming, Heating, and Humidify. Warm keeps your room warm without the hot wind. Heating adopts a high-efficiency PTC ceramic wire which lets it heat much faster without any pre-heating time. It also reduces the dryness because it heats the cold air without burning oxygen. Humidify provides heated humidification without any bacterial concerns. The dial on the top of Heattle lets you set the temperature and pick your desired setting. The most intuitive and homely part of this design is the kettle water storage for the humidifier, it makes refilling and changing the water convenient and I am curious to know if I can just use it for tea too!

The Fireplace Gets a Modern Facelift

awa_hyrodgen_stove_cover_02

Wood burning fireplaces are quickly becoming a thing of the past, especially if you reside in a big city apartment or new home… but that doesn’t mean you can’t get cozy! Designed by a group from the University of Buenos Aires, the AWA home heater is a modern interpretation of the familiar form of the fluted fireplace that utilizes new thermal power tech to fill your home with warmth and ambience.

The design generates thermal power through electrolysis, breaking the bonds in the water molecules and then combusting the separated hydrogen. The hot air rises along the body releasing heat by the means of convection using the ventilations allocated in the upper part. At the same time the central core made of refractory ceramics radiates warmth, even once it’s turned off. Better yet, it uses 40% less energy compared to a classic stove, avoids troublesome code requirements, and be a whole lot safer!
