This swiveling, hitch-mounted grill makes setting up and cooking outdoor the easiest camping job ever!

Going for an adventure every weekend and happen to be a die-hard foodie too? Then there is a grill that’s made just right for your exhilarating lifestyle that stops at nothing. STEL Design has joined forces with HitchFire to create a cooking ecosystem dubbed Forge 15 Rugged 2 Burner Grill that’s ready for any off-road escapade you throw at it. The design of the grill revolves around a few important things – extended functionality without sacrificing simplicity, having a strong form factor but still being lightweight and rugged enough for the extreme terrains while maintaining an attractive design. STEL envisions this product to be a staple “on every outdoor adventurer and car camper’s vehicle.”

The outdoor grill has balanced design aesthetics at the core with the robustness of lightweight tubular frame construction to take on any abuse from the off-road environment coming its way. It has practically designed dual-zone, high-output BTU propane burners with easily cleanable aesthetics. Forge 15 grill boasts a fold-out prep table for easy stowing and an easy-to-read temperature gauge, big steel handle, removable grease tray, a built-in bottle opener, and weatherproof cover. While tucked in the tailgate of the vehicle while traveling, when the time comes to set up camp, the pivoting swingarm moves the grill away from the vehicle for cooking. The swivel grill can also be detached for tabletop grilling when required. Also, there is a hard maple cutting board to increase the prep surface – and it can be removed to carry meals to the table. Forge has a 355 square inch cooking surface enough for 10 people and you don’t have to carry around bulky propane tanks, since it works perfectly fine with 16-oz propane bottles.

While doing all that the design can take on inclement weather conditions and toughest conditions – perfect for undiscovered trails and unknown expeditions. The unique hitch-based grill design is inspired by the most intriguing adventures, road trips and love of outdoor living. It can be used to fire up some burgers and steaks for a full-scale tailgate party or a muted bonfire socializing with other crazy adventurers en route to the next trail. This has to be the beginning of a new era for Overlanding and adventure grilling, as outdoor cooking becomes accessible and so much more fun. Forge 15 Rugged 2 Burner Grill definitely brings a new dimension to grilling under the stars in picturesque locations that are an adventurer’s dopamine!

From Tesla Roadster to DeLorean DMC-12, watch these iconic cars in their badass avatar!

Los Angeles-based digital artist Bradbuilds knows what tingles the nerves of motorheads who can’t get enough of badass four-wheelers. His concept creations are both fascinating as well as practical to a wide genre of audience. All of them are basically a high steroid infusion of what popular vehicles could be in real life. The likes of Lamborghini, Ferrari, Beetle, Corvette, and many other. Bradbuilds’ off-road creations have been loved in the last years or so and here are the ones we couldn’t help but appreciate.

Tesla Roadster Safari

Build for an eventual apocalypse, the Tesla Roadster Safari is straight out from a Doomsday movie plot with the intention of making it through any Armageddon. It gets the Tesla’s all-electric drivetrain and the solar panels fitted on the roof and sides make sure you don’t run out of power while being ambushed by zombies.

Tesla Off-Road Cybertruck

If you are also from the camp who thinks the Cybertruck missed out on something, this creation justifies the belief. Big chunky tires, and a reinforced suspension and steering rods makes this concept Cybertruck a beast ready to conquer any terrain, and that too in style.

DeLorean DMC-12

The iconic DMC-12 gets a boost in its armor courtesy of the elongated suspension and crash protection on the undercarriage. This is matched with the all-terrain tires, the nostalgic Doc Brown’s reactor and rear cooling fans. Who on the face of the earth would deny this DeLorean’s off-roading DNA!

BMW M4 Camping Trailer

Next, we have another one of my favorite creations by the artist – the BMW M4 camping trailer. The personality of the coupe virtual takes a headstand with a one-man camping trailer neatly fitted inside the boot and leading up to the roof. If you like things sexy, this solo ride is the one that fits the bill.

Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech

The perfect cocktail of MadMax and Cyberpunk 2077 takes shape in the form of this mean Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech facelifted for any uncanny chase thrown its way. The fat tires and a robust suspension system lifts the car like it was born that way – it looks so natural. Another one of my favorite from the collection.

Lamborghini Urus Off-Road

How about a Lamborghini Urus for an off-road makeover that’s irresistible? Yes, Bradbuilds doesn’t shy from experimenting with digital designs no one else would even dream of. This off-road Lamborghini Urus is a classic example.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is already a very capable 4×4 off-roader. But Bradbuilds thinks it can get better in a new avatar. The big protruding wheels and the buggy-like rear give a true character of an off-roader that can take on inclines of more than 45 degrees – perfect for motorheads!

Someone turned the Bugatti Chiron into a 4×4 off-roader and it feels like Mad Max meets Cyberpunk

If you’re looking at this 4×4 Bugatti Chiron Terracross concept and going “something doesn’t feel right here”, it’s completely intentional. The Chiron, a beast made for perfect roads and luxurious metropolises, set against a rugged terrain with those massive tires just feels unnatural… but there’s a beauty in its unnatural design. Created by Rafał Czaniecki as a mere pandemic project, the Bugatti Chiron Terracross concept is a dystopian beauty made for a world where futuristic cybercities and wastelands coexist.

Off the bat, the Terracross isn’t your average Chiron. It comes with a few upgrades that are more than apparent when you look at the automobile. Right off the bat, you’ll notice its outlandish wheels and suspension, which make sense given its all-terrain nature, but create a ground-clearance that’s completely unusual for a Bugatti. The headlight and taillights are altered too, with a honeycomb-ish pattern that’s also found on the car’s exhausts, the wheel design, as well as on the large, outward-extending fenders. Among other noteworthy upgrades are the massive bumper guards on the front and back of the car, along with foglights on the top, space for a carry-case, and a place to mount your step knee.

The Terracross is a complete deviation from Bugatti’s luxury supercar DNA, while it still manages to retain the Bugatti elements like the horseshoe radiator and the C-shaped rear pillar. It’s an interesting experiment that I hope, for the sake of humanity, doesn’t become a norm – because a post-apocalyptic world where an all-terrain Chiron is a necessity isn’t really the kind of world I want to live in. That being said, Rafał Czaniecki’s pandemic pet-project surely yielded an extremely eye-catching car!

Tesla Monster Cybertruck Concept Looks Straight out of Damnation Alley

The Tesla Cybertruck already features a bonkers design that looks like something out of a 1980s science fiction movie. The angular, all-electric pickup truck has a pretty intimidating presence as shown in factory form, but it’s definitely more of an urban assault vehicle than something you could seriously take off-road. Now, thanks to a talented 3D illustrator, we have an idea of what a more rugged version of the Cybertruck might look like. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Tesla Monster Cybertruck…

This lifted Cybertruck concept was created by 3D modeler Shubbak3D to help promote their design services. It looks pretty amazing with that massively-raised suspension and riding on enormous off-road tires that look like they could make quick work of sand dunes. The design also features a custom-fitted metal roof rack that attaches to the Cybertruck’s bed, offering storage space for Overlanding equipment.

Click to the second picture in the Instagram post below for a view that shows off the truck’s backside:

Amazing work, Shubbak3D! I just want to know when we can buy one of these monster Cybertrucks so I can hit the trails or crush some cars with it.

Jeep is showing off its first three plug-in hybrids at CES this week

This week, CES attendees can check out Jeep's first three plug-in hybrid models: the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, the Jeep Compass 4xe and the Jeep Renegade 4xe. All three are scheduled to debut in 2020, but they aren't quite ready yet, so Jeep is offering a V...

Hyundai Shows off Walking Car Concept for Extreme Terrain

Innovation and CES used to go hand in hand, but in recent years, most of the tech on display is evolutionary, rather than revolutionary. Kudos to Hyundai and its CRADLE division for showing up at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show with a truly innovative and unusual concept that’s well outside of the boundaries of conventional thinking. Sure, the Elevate appears only in renderings at this point, but the IDEA of a vehicle that can walk is truly off the beaten path.

So why would you want a car that could walk? Well if you’re in the business of rescuing people in rugged terrain, or in the rubble of a collapsed structure, even the most rugged of Jeeps can have problems negotiating extremely jagged and uneven surfaces. In the case of Hyundai’s concept vehicle, its legs allow it to maneuver over just about any surface you can throw at it.

At the end of each of its legs is a wheel, so it’s able to use its variable height legs to position itself and then the wheels to propel it in any direction. The video clip below offers a brief glimpse at how the mechanism would work:

In addition to dealing with rugged off-road terrain, Hyundai showed off an urban scenario for the Elevate as well – using its height-adjustable legs to pick up and deliver people at the top of a staircase – which could improve mobility and access to locations without ramps for people with disabilities.

Technically, the Elevate is designed to run on a purely-electric drivetrain, and its legs are able to not only extend in height, but in width – up to a whopping 15-foot track width. This can improve vehicle stability, and gives it the potential to just ride over a tall obstacle under the center of the vehicle.

While Hyundai isn’t planning on producing the Elevate at this point, I’m hopeful that some of its concepts do find their way into search and rescue vehicles in the not-too-distant future.
