Giant Sand Crab Floor Pillows: No Pinching!

Do you have a beach-themed bedroom? Me neither, but I wish I did. And this XXL Sand Crab Floor Pillow handmade by Etsy shop BigStuffed would make the perfect addition. Just imagine that crab peering out from under the side of your bed, ready to grab your leg and pull you under. Sweet dreams!

The 45″ x 42″ wool and polyester crabs cost around $305, so they aren’t cheap, but they’re probably a better idea than decorating your room with a bushel of steamed crabs, because my wife and I can’t even step foot in the guest bedroom anymore it smells so bad. She still holds it over my head to this day.

I really have always wanted a nautical themed bedroom, but my wife keeps shooting the idea down because, “the last aquarium you had leaked and ruined the carpet,” and, “the floor won’t support that anchor.” My wife, I swear – what would I do without her? Knowing me, probably own a race car bed.

Watch how this whimsical monster uses storytelling to depict the time!

The Number Cruncher watch has hands, but they aren’t for telling time! The watch face features an adorable cartoon monster that uses its hands to munch on numbers in a way that tells the time while also telling a story of sorts.

This blue monster (stomping its way through Central London) comes with a window at its stomach, and within its left hand. The hour of the day appears as the number in the monster’s hand, and as it munches on it, the minutes appear within the monster’s digestive system. It’s a good thing there’s no seconds dial on this watch because I honestly don’t know where one could possibly put it!

The Number Cruncher comes with a stainless steel body, a metal-mesh watch strap, and is waterproof up to 5ATM.

Up Balloon Coffee Table

up-balloon-red61

It’s never a bad thing to add a bit of whimsy to your living space. Sadly that often requires having a substantial amount of disposable income, and the Up Balloon Coffee Table by UK designer Christopher Duffy is no exception. It’ll set you back a pretty hefty £7,800 (or about $11,627USD). Made from toughened glass, metal resin composite, and toughened steel rods, the table looks like a bunch of balloons supporting a glass top. It plays with the illusion of lightness, of levitation and buoyancy; a glass top that weighs several pounds is being supported by what appears to be lighter-than-air balloons. It’s a conversation piece measuring 47 inches across by 19 inches high.

You guys seem to be into tea, and tea infusers. Good for you, really. Good for you. We like them too! So how about this cute Brew Whale Tea Infuser? It’s made from silicone, will plunge to the depths of your tea cup and stay submerged for as long as you want. When your tea is steeped enough, pull on the handle and help the little whale breach the surface. It’s $14.

Nessie Ladle Looks Perfect In A Lake Of Soup

nessie_ladle_1

What better way to get your kid interested in eating your lobster bisque than by presenting it to him with the Loch Ness monster swimming in the pot? This ladle comes with tiny feet that let the whole thing stand up at the bottom, with Nessie’s head whimsically sticking out. It’s a cool way to spend $16.

Semi-rigid Cubic Rubber Bands

rubber-1

These are sort of neat. They’re rubber bands shaped like a wireframe cube. They keep their shape, but of course they stretch since they’re rubber bands. They’re easy to find in a drawer, and we suppose that’s it as far as their advantages are concerned. And here come the disadvantages, or rather the disadvantage: it’s $10 for 3! They’re 20mm per side, if you must know, though to be honest if you end up buying these we have something to tell you: you have too much disposable income!

Floating Ripple Vase

floating-vase

A little whimsical, marginally useful yet definitely eye catching, the Floating Ripple Vase will accept one flower. You can then set that flower afloat in any container, giving the impression that it made a ripple, a ripple which then froze in time. Or something. We came in last at the Prose Competition, which is a made-up contest. We made it up in an effort to emphasize how much we can suck at writing sometimes. But hey, you’re not here for the prose, you’re here for the goods. This one will set you back $22, although it’s sold out right now.

Leese Design iPhone Cases: You Can Sew Your Own Way!

I’ve probably seen thousands of iPhone cases, but only a couple interested me enough that I ended up buying them. While I’m not a snob, I’m well aware that a case that doesn’t feature a nice design ethos won’t please me for long. These cases from Korea’s Leese Design incorporate a bit of DIY style to make each one unique.

The DIY Stipin case from Leese Design has an embroidered design on its back. The case comes in a variety of complete pre-stitched designs, but what’s really fun is that buyers can cross-stitch their own designs if they want to. There are pattern guides available for those of us not that nimble with a needle, which should allow everyone to complete a case like this. Oh, and those cute little pins are designed to plug into your headphone jack when not in use.

The cases sell from Leese Design for ₩48,000 (~$48 USD) but the DIY version sells for just ₩30,000 (~$30 USD).
