Nissan NV350 Caravan Office Pod Concept is your ticket to freedom when it comes to working productively after witnessing the most mesmerizing sunset from your favorite picturesque location on the outskirts of the city or maybe even on an adventure trip. The mobile office pod housed inside the back of the electric van is something you’ll be so desperate to jump right into. In ways, it can rival the most jaw-dropping work from home setups without a semblance of doubt. The smartphone-controlled office pulls out from the back of the van out in the open and is for sure a dope for people who love working amidst natural settings. It has one button touch retracting or expanding motion for the whole office pod, electrically actuated shades, and a glove box loaded with UV antibacterial lamp for hygiene. For working comfort, there’s a Herman Miller Cosm chair, a polycarbonate floor embedded with a display to set a naturally liberating screensaver, and an ambient light setting that can be toggled according to your liking. They say inspiration is the requisite for unleashing your creativity and we see no better way to get inspired and remain inspired by than to drive to your favorite location or camping grounds and make the most of our current work from home situation.

When you’ve worked enough for the day or simply want to take a short break between work, just climb on top of the luxurious roof balcony with a rooftop deck for relaxing in style. This area can be accessed from inside the vehicle for that much elusive personal freedom and solitude. This caravan has been released at the Virtual Auto Salon 2021 as a part of the new avenues for electric vehicles. The Office Pod Concept on the Nissan NV350 Caravan is one of them, and boy is it impressive. I’m already getting imaginative with the scenarios this caravan can bring to the fore. Always imagine yourself lying under the starry sky gazing at the vastness of the universe – living a life connected to nature? When every single day is an adventure unknown to where the road takes you? Then you need to consider getting yourself a camper trailer that provides the luxury of a home, and the opportunity to lie down on your back to lull into sleep while appreciating the wonders of nature.

Crafted in the Netherlands, Lume Traveler is somewhere between an airstream trailer and a caravan – offering cozy luxury on the go. According to founder Hein van de Laar, “It was my dream to enjoy outdoor life with the comfort of home; to sleep under the stars in a top-notch bed, to cook outside with a full-fledged stove. And all of that in the most beautiful spots in nature. This dream is what led to the beautifully-designed Lume Traveler.” The niche aspect of the trailer sitting on Knott chassis and 15-inch wheels is the soft-top fabric convertible roof (6-foot long and 3.6 foot wide) that lets you enjoy panoramic views of the night sky on the adjustable double bed after a tiring day’s journey. To make sure you don’t have bugs and insects infesting the interiors, there’s a built-in transparent screen to keep them out. On the inside, the trailer is as plush as it can get – the teak flooring, leather rear wall and the gray walls featuring soft dirt-repellent wool felt roll-up curtains. You can also go for the trim options for the rear wall that include wood and linen, or the oak and linoleum flooring option.

To the outside is where a foodie would be tempted to go on a bright sunny day for cooking a sumptuous meal. Lume Traveler’s rear opens up to reveal the expansive kitchen area that has everything you would want from a luxury apartment. It has the PITT gas burners, washbasin, faucet, the cutting board lid that doubles as a sink, and a gas grill connected with the extra gas connection. Down below sits a 40-liter fridge concealed underneath the counter area on one side. Adjacent to it is the upper storage section for cookware and dishes.

The 100-Watt solar panel on top of the roof takes care of all the energy requirements for a seamless life on the road. For buyers who don’t want to stop at all those conveniences, there’s the optional 32-in flat screen, Wi-Fi connectivity, or a seven-speaker Bose audio system. The flagship trim of the Lume Traveler costs around $53,500 while the basic one comes for $47,700, and if you want the barebones version with nothing inside so that you can tailor it to your liking, you’ll have to shell out $32,500.

This retro nautical-inspired teardrop caravan adds a dash of luxury to your camping experience!

In the age of COVID-19, it seems that the only type of trip we can responsibly get away with is camping. Since it’s such a specific way of traveling and new to many of us in 2020, it’s helpful when our budget permits the use of luxury camping vehicles like teardrop caravans. Newer caravan designs such as La Carapate from the French manufacturer, Carapate, were conceptualized a few years before the quarantine of 2020, but with camping’s popularity only surging, they already stand the test of time.

While the caravan was not designed to resemble a teardrop, but rather a trapezoid, the makers behind it still call the final design a teardrop caravan. La Carapate has many features that set it apart from other caravans on the market. For instance, instead of a swinging door, you might expect to see on a classic caravan, La Carapate’s door functions as a sturdy flap, which locks into place by means of gas pressure swings, in order to provide campers with ample shade and easy access to both the caravan’s interior and the outdoors. Adjacent to La Carapate’s flap door is a drawer that converts from handy indoor storage space for cookware to an exterior cooking unit that could also extend into a table for further use as an outdoor dining area. The true appeal of this camper lies in its trapezoidal shape and the blue and yellow nautical color scheme. The rounded edges with a bold yellow trim and the unique side-door that swings open to reveal the surprisingly spacious interiors – it brings to mind the wooden interiors seen in older cars and the result is touchingly nostalgic.

Users have the option of purchasing a fully-operative kitchen which includes a gas cooker, sink, set of tableware, and additional saucepans. A simpler version could be purchased for less, which includes all you need for camping: a gas cooker and a 12-liter sink. The main part of the caravan comes with mattresses that provide lots of space for all the campers using the caravan – a big upgrade from sleeping in tents. Equipped with a solar panel, La Carapate is manufactured and utilized in an ecologically responsible way. Everything from the material used, to the compact size of this caravan, and the hyperlocal approach to sourcing and manufacturing speaks to the founders’ commitment to ecotourism and sustainable travel.

La Carapate comes fully functioning with panoramic views and miniature living space. Camping doesn’t necessarily require prerequisites, but it typically brings together those who feel passionate about traveling, alternative accommodation, and the natural world. For the founders of La Carapate, these passions came together and inspired their own interpretation of the teardrop caravan. Camping and caravanning have always been about getting down to the bare necessities of life, living life on the road and at the mercy of the elements. However, New Zealand based design and architecture firm W2, has decided to help amp up the experience! Their revolutionary trailer design, ‘Romotow’, the name an amalgamation of ‘room to move’ contains all the usual RV features but with an innovative 90-degree twist. With the press of a simple electric button, it swivels open, rotating at 90 degrees, to reveal an open synthetic teak deck. With this, it increases the living space by 70 percent, and the area can also be used as a party deck! Measuring 30 feet by 8.5 feet and offering 290 square feet of living space (the same as a lot of tiny apartments these days), the caravan comes along with a living area, bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom, all with stylish fixtures and spacious interiors.

Six years after it’s an announcement, the USB shaped trailer is finally under construction in Christchurch, New Zealand. The designers have branded it as “the next frontier in mobile living”. Designed with lightweight materials and supported by calculated aerodynamics, Romotow is a “radical departure from the boxy and cumbersome hybrid travel trailer and caravan concept of yesteryear” Equipped with solar panels and a 400Ah battery for power (for whenever it is off-grid), the trailer will also be lined with a state-of-the-art sound system, running through the living area, bedroom, and deck.

Two adults will be able to sleep comfortably in the bedroom, and another two in the living area’s fold-out couch. A desk enclosure kit with awnings and screens accompany the trailer, allowing four additional people to be able to sleep on the deck. A sheltered BBQ deck area, attractive furniture, and sliding doors are other fun features that come along with the Romotow. Sleek, innovative and highly comfortable, the future of the trailer and caravan is here.

Somehow every third profile on Tinder and Instagram has this word ‘wanderlust’ in the prole bio. Yet I can’t see a single picture of them with a tent or caravan! For all those people, the Tinycamper caravan should be the place to start. It caters to every aspect of a wanderlust’s nature with its compact design yet attention to detail. Roughly the size of a hatchback, the Tinycamper provides a safe and cozy haven for travelers. The insides are spacious for something this compact, and two people can fit in with ease (it can even accommodate a small family). The inside contains a spacious queen sized bed and table that can be turned into a divan. A windscreen on the front doubles up as a skylight of sorts at night, so you can gaze at the stars while drifting off to sleep. Obviously, since you’re indoors, you don’t have to worry about the weather. The Caravan’s boot also has its share of wonderful delights. equipped with loads of pantry-space, the rear of the Tinycamper also manages to fit in a double stove as well as an ice-chest, so you can ditch those pre-packed picnic baskets for a nicely cooked meal amidst mother nature. Perfect!
