This moon coffee maker will make your morning missions easy!

If you are a coffee addict then you will feel excited about new appliances that increase the joy you feel when brewing! This conceptual coffee machine is very unlike the espresso makers in the market and it’s the aesthetics that set it apart. It is a dream machine for people who love coffee and space exploration equally (like me!).

The compact capsule shape makes it look like a moon lander for your counter and is obviously powered by caffeine which is only the second most powerful fuel after rocket fuel! The designer’s main focus was to retain some of the rawness and the mechanical steampunk look of the traditional Italian espresso makes while maintaining a clean shape that adds character to the product. There is a tubular water/steam container at the back which I feel can be extended down for added support for the appliance. There is also another container for your beans which I assume leads to a small grinder mechanism inside so you only get the freshest cup of joe each time. Overall, the shape is very unique and combines the nostalgic steampunk elements with clean, smooth curves for a balanced modern machine.

I almost feel like this should come with a voice feature that does a countdown to when your coffee is ready. “I’ve always been fascinated with those big chrome machines that almost looked like a small lab, it made me think about how we perceive coffee now when the whole ritual is being reduced to a capsule and a press of a button. When sitting down to settle on my concept I thought how can I incorporate this love for mechanical and tactile looking objects, with an updated clean look? Can I make a coffee machine that looks scientific but also has a cute character?” says Yehuda. T – 10 seconds till I have my second (or fourth) cup!

Your Keurig can now be packed into this portable brewing and mug coffee system!

Ever wish you could just take your Keurig everywhere? Well, now you can with the Koipresso! It essentially packs your coffee machine into a portable brewer-mug system that will ensure that you always have access to your favorite cup of joe.

Designed keeping in mind the nomadic, work-on-the-go lifestyle some people lead, this will coffee machine saves you long lines and waiting in the drive-thrus. You can brew fresh coffee anytime, anywhere and it is also compatible with Keurig K-Cups for ease. Quick eco-friendly checkpoint: K-cups and pods are not environmentally friendly (Keurig and Nespresso do claim to recycle them if you collect it and ship it to their centers) so if you are leading or trying to lead a sustainable lifestyle and manage your waste reduction, then you can use Koipresso with your own coffee grounds. As a ‘coffee snob’ myself, I would always recommend you brew with fresh grounds than packaged pods because it tastes better and also helps you become eco-conscious. The brewing method has four simple steps. Fill the coffee grounds in the carafe, put the carafe into the tray and secure, fill up the flask with hot water, and close the lid. Plug USB into power, turn it upside, and push the button to brew.

Another perk of the Koipresso is that you can place it on your work desk and simply enjoy coffee without even walking to the kitchen. A Micro USB cable will charge the coffee maker and it also keeps your drink warm like a thermos.

This drip coffee machine combines multiple accessories to upgrade your brew!

When I think of drip coffee the only thing that comes to mind is the iconic Mr.Coffee machine. Other than that, the only way to make it is by hand and with multiple accessories – a filter, a cone to hold the filter, a grinder for the beans, a weighing scale or a measuring spoon to put the perfect amount and then the slow process of pouring water so you don’t over brew it. So the choices are between the most basic pot coffee machine or a tedious process that requires a lot of tools – none of them are convenient and if you are using a specialty roast, you want to do it justice by making it perfectly! SCOPE is a drip coffee machine that takes the guesswork out by merging a scale, a grinder, filters all into one brewing appliance!

Not a professional barista? No problem. Don’t want to buy 5 different things to brew just one cup of coffee? No worries. Still want to enjoy a fine cup? Then this is the machine that should replace your drip coffee maker! SCOPE combines multiple accessories to make the process convenient for you as well as justify buying expensive roasts. Drip coffee isn’t always considered superior like espresso is, but it is the most fundamental and basic thing to learn for a coffee enthusiast – this is your level one coffee. Because there is no fluff around it, drip coffee actually teaches you to appreciate the true taste of the drink, just your basic hot water, and beans to give you the most authentic flavor without any pressure (literally!). It also doesn’t require paper filters which reduces a lot of waste if you drink coffee every day.

When manually brewing drip coffee in an authentic manner, you require a certain grind and also have to weigh the amount for the filter. After that, you have to make sure the water is between 195 to 205 degrees Fahrenheit for optimal extraction. Colder water will result in flat, under-extracted coffee, while water that is too hot will also cause a loss of quality in the taste of the coffee. So there is a lot of guesswork that can go in if you don’t have all the parts or you could brush it off and drink a mediocre cup. But SCOPE’s built-in grinder, scale, temperature control, and timer give you a significantly finer degree of control for making a perfect cup of hand-dripped coffee.

SCOPE is also the winner of the Asia Design Awards 2020. The brewing process is optimized to be simple yet delicate to give you a joyful experience. With hot water, beans, and SCOPE, you can cherish the rich taste of specialty coffee at home without a barista-level setup or a whole cabinet full of accessories!

This Bugatti-inspired espresso machine is here to supercharge your day with caffeine!

Yamaha makes bikes, but they also make pianos. Bose makes speakers and suspension for truck seats. Ferrari makes cars, but they also have a flourishing fragrance line, so when I see a coffee maker with a Bugatti logo on it, you best believe that I’m more delighted than bewildered!

Don’t worry though, the French automotive company isn’t pivoting to caffeinated beverages, but designer Fábio Martins tried imagining what a conceptual espresso machine from Bugatti would look like. By embracing the company’s automotive DNA and bringing it to kitchen appliances, Martins successfully makes a coffee-machine that looks as rich, luxuriant, and adrenaline-pumping as a Chiron does. The Bugatti Etiron coffee machine comes in the same colors as Bugatti’s cars, with the classic blue and black pairing being its most standout model. If you look at the machine’s front, it perfectly embodies Bugatti’s signature horseshoe grille design by adopting the same shape (and even sporting the grille pattern on its front too!). Move over to the side and the Etiron curves and arches back the same way a Bugatti’s rear does, with even that C-shaped design detail created through a clever surface split! Martins has even detailed what the coffee machine’s ‘chassis’ will look like by imagining the appliance’s inner architecture, and whether it’s on internal components or external body-parts, the Bugatti logo makes its appearance felt.

While I’d imagine that a French-automotive-brand inspired coffee maker would probably come in the format of a French Press (I’d be wrong… French coffees are quite diverse, apparently), the Etiron adopts a more modern, fast, coffee-pod format… which sort of makes sense because of its ability to deliver quality with speed, right??

This Scandinavian-inspired sustainable coffee range gives you a barista level brew

During quarantine, I try to remind myself of the things I now have the time to enjoy. It is an important technique to train your mind to stay positive and appreciate the slowdown even if it is the little things. I used to rush out every morning and just grab a coffee to go. Being a coffee aficionado, this lockdown gave me the time to enjoy my coffee right from the brewing method to the last sip minus the worry of spilling it as I power-walked to my office. I am finally paying attention to the details of the coffee apparatus – usually, they are all either glass with cork accent or steel (no plastic, sustainable living all the way!) until I found Kork Kafeware which is a whole range that combines cork and stainless steel!

Kork Kafeware was designed to encourage people to take a break from the daily struggles and enjoy me-time. Functionally, it gives you the best of both worlds, stainless steel is durable and cork is heat-resistant. The eco-conscious range includes french press, espresso maker, goose-neck kettle, and coffee grinder which is all you need to enjoy a perfect cup at home. Kork uses the inherent qualities of cork and polished stainless steel to create a natural, functional product designed to last a lifetime. Cork is a sustainable alternative to plastic and offers unique insulative, elastic and lightweight properties to the design.

Inspired by Scandinavian design, the Kork Kafeware collection encourages you to appreciate the craftsmanship of the daily objects in our lives. Making coffee is an art and Chung wanted to inspire more people to appreciate that experience through his collection. You can customize the taste of your coffee to you liking – improvise and get creative as you go, you have all the right tools!

Wacaco’s unique vacuum-brewing thermos extracts all the flavors from your coffee

Meet the Pipamoka, the latest coffee-maker to come from Wacaco, the company that brought the world the Minipresso and Nanopresso. Think of Pipamoka as the very opposite of the Aeropress, in that it uses a vacuum (rather than compressed air) to push hot water through coffee grounds. Designed by wanderlusts who are extremely picky about the coffee they drink, the Pipamoka is portable, operates manually, and gives you wonderfully hot coffee that stays hot, thanks to its insulating outer body.

The Pipamoka fundamentally does what the Aeropress or the french-press does, except it uses a different sort of pressure to get to the same end result. Comprising of an insulated outer mug and an inner brewing chamber with a threaded body, the Pipamoka uses simple physics to help you manually achieve a brew that normally requires high-pressure pneumatics. Just pour the water into the Pipamoka and add the coffee-basket in. The basket instinctively slides to the bottom, which is when you begin unscrewing the inner chamber. Upon unscrewing the inner chamber, you begin creating a vacuum in the outer chamber (think of pulling a syringe’s plunger outward). This vacuum prompts the water from the inner chamber to push through the coffee-basket (effectively compacting it) and right into the insulated outer mug. The coffee grinds get compressed by the water, and as the water passes through, it picks up on all the coffee’s flavor, getting vacuum-brewed in the process. Different pressure, same coffee!

The circular motion of unscrewing the inner chamber creates a strong vacuum with a minimal amount of effort, resulting in a brew that’s much stronger and more nuanced than a drip-based coffee or a pour-over. The Pipamoka works with hot or cold water, allowing you to create your standard hot black coffee, a cold-brew, or even an espresso (simply by regulating the ratio of water to coffee). Once brewed, the coffee collects right inside the air-tight insulated mug, staying hot or cold for hours, while the hockey-puck-sized coffee basket makes clean-up a breeze. Pipamoka’s no-nonsense design makes it perfect to travel with too. Housing everything from the brewer to the carafe inside a single capped container, the Pipamoka easily slips right into your bag and gives you the ability to brew 8 fl.oz. or 236ml anytime anywhere. If you want to just use the outer container as a thermos for your coffee, it holds 10 fl.oz. or 300ml of your favorite brew. Each Pipamoka comes equipped with everything you need to measure and brew your coffee as well as clean up afterward. All the elements fit right into Pipamoka’s isothermal stainless steel outer container, and for extra safety, you can get yourself a protective EVA foam semi-rigid case too! The Pipamoka ships internationally for free, and comes with a cool 2-year warranty.

Pipamoka – The First All-in-one Vacuum Pressured Portable Coffee Maker

The Pipamoka uses a first-of-its-kind twisting mechanism to create vacuum pressure that enables users to make a full cup of balanced coffee in two minutes.

Travel Minimally. All of the Pipamoka’s parts fit securely inside the mug, helping you pack more efficiently for any trip.

Enjoy A Full Flavored Cup. Pressure-brew a full cup of coffee with the Pipamoka, the first all-in-one portable coffee maker to use vacuum pressure for a quick extraction. Brews up to 8 fl oz/236 ml.

Your Coffee, Your Journey. Bring your favorite coffee grounds with you so you’re always ready to refuel with your preferred brew. Coffee basket capacity 3.5 tsp/16 g.

Drink At Your Own Pace. The stainless steel vacuum insulated Pipamoka mug keeps your coffee hot for 3-4 hours.

How Does Vacuum Pressure Work?

By twisting the control ring, the water chamber is forced upwards. This creates a suction force that draws hot water downwards through the coffee grounds. The coffee is then brewed directly into the insulated thermal mug where it will stay hot for hours.

The Pipamoka brewing method is unlike any other. By generating pressure, the grounds are “squeezed” by fresh hot water creating a smooth, balanced, and non-bitter extraction in a short amount of time.

The Pipamoka brewing process helps you avoid poor extractions and poor pouring techniques because there is little room for error. The result is a stable, quick, and efficient extraction.

How to Use the Pipamoka

Designed by fellow travelers, it’s the easiest way to enjoy a full cup of coffee wherever your journey takes you.

The creators of the Moka Pot have a cute stove-top espresso dispenser too!

Perfect for quick indoor espresso brewing, Bialetti’s Mini Express is just adorable, the way it sits on a stovetop, mimicking a big fat coffee machine. It comes with a base that’s similar to the Moka Pot, but with a direct dispenser on top that pipes the freshly brewed (it doesn’t get fresher than this) espresso right into a tiny espresso cup.

With its retro-Italian design (complete with the Vespa-inspired colored variants and cups), the Mini Express is perfect for the lover of the rich black beverage that forms the bedrock of all good Italian coffees. The base is rather small and may require a stove-top-reducer to sit squarely on. Load the coffee grounds and water in and screw the top on (throw in a stick of cinnamon for that Christmassy flavor), before lighting the gas underneath. The coffee brews, bubbling up to the surface and out the two spouts on the top, right into the cups that rest on the Mini Express’s adorable platform! There’s a variant with a single-pipe dispenser too, if you’re the kind to savor your coffee alone!
