This modular cat tower is an understated design that blends in with your furniture!

It can feel impossible to find towers for your pet cat that fits with the rest of your living room furniture. Carpeted perches end up frayed or scratched and soon enough each one dons a top coat of fur– it can be an eyesore as part of an otherwise polished interior. To design a sophisticated cat tower that could fit into most living rooms, Jiyoun Kim Studio created Three Poles, a modular piece of cat furniture that fuses the feel of hardwood craftsmanship with sophisticated and minimalist interior design elements.

Designed so that cats and humans could co-inhabit the same living spaces, Jiyoung Kim Studio aimed to create Three Poles with durable building materials and sleek color schemes. Constructed from round birch plywood and three metal poles, each scaffold of Three Poles is removable and can be configured between the three poles to create perches for your cat to either rest or play.

In tribute to the classic cat tower, which was entirely coated in beige carpeting, Three Poles incorporate plush carpeting on three scaffolds, its base, and scratching post. Then, the additional scaffolds are constructed from birch plywood, supported by three metal poles that are painted the same brown hue as the plywood. One of the scaffolds constitutes a cat bed that can be removed and put on the floor to function as a traditional cat bed for naps after play.

Jiyoun Kim Studio created Three Poles for those who live with cats to have a cat tower that blends in seamlessly with the rest of their interior furniture. Ditching plastic material for plywood and a quirky design for a more stripped-down look, Three Poles works as an endless source of playtime for your pet cat without compromising the refined look of your living space.

With modular scaffolds, each perch can be removed and attached to Three Poles to configure it according to your cat’s needs.

Hanging bells offer an exciting sensory experience for your cat to claw away at and play with.

A carpeted scratching post gives your cat an opportunity to sharpen its claws and expend some energy.

The multi-leveled cat tower gives your cat plenty of perches to climb up and rest when playtime is done.

Formed between three poles, this cat tower’s design is understated and refined.

This multi-level cat tower balances the joy of a McDonald’s PlayPlace with interior-friendly aesthetics!

Cat towers have given cats reign over their homes for as long as they’ve been around. Whether they’re draped in plush carpeting or stripped down to a minimal hardwood design, cat towers provide a place for cats to relax and nap the day away or run and play until they’re ready for a nap. Designed by Hitomi Otake, the Neko Goten Cat Tower combines the labyrinth nature of a Mcdonald’s PlayPlace with the artful craftsmanship of a handmade piece of wooden furniture.

Featuring concealed storage areas and tucked-away hideouts, Neko Goten was designed on the basis of understanding the behavior of cats with acute attention to what makes them really purr. On the left side, Neko Goten’s staircase brings cats to alternating jumping perches where cats can leapfrog before heading up to the tower’s plastic hemisphere that hovers above the entire play area. Below the staircase, a hideout offers a covert place for cats to rest without bother. Then, the center section of Neko Goten features a hive-like resting area that’s stationed atop a hollowed-out carpeted ring reminiscent of a hamster wheel, where cats can either rest, scratch, or knead until a cat nap’s in order. Finally, the right side suspends a four-tier platform chain ladder for cats to climb up and down, resting periodically on one of its round bases to perch and observe the goings-on of their home territory.

Constructed with the skills of furniture craftsmen, Neko Goten was built with wood coming from Japan’s Fukui Prefecture. Developed primarily for use in Japan’s rental homes, Neko Goten’s handcrafted design of oakwood and cedarwood fits into public spaces and private homes alike. Once Neko Goten’s large stature wiggles its way into the living room, cats won’t hesitate before clawing away and climbing to the top.

Designer: Hitomi Otake

The cat tower’s center resting place was handcrafted to echo the look and feel of a beehive.

Suspended from the tower’s right-side wing, a four-tier chain ladder allows cats to climb and slink their way up or down, while a carpeted hollowed-out ring provides a scratching post for cats.

Hovering above the entire play area, a plastic, transparent hemisphere provides the coziest resting area for cats to perch and keep a watchful eye over the tower.

Cozy cat-friendly products to help your cat and you connect better!

Anyone who has cats will agree that it’s a cat world, and we’re just living in it! They are the true masters of our home, and we are their abiding slaves, tending to their every need, always at their beck and call. They’re the apple of our eyes, and we would do almost anything to keep them happy and comfy, including showering them with fun little products, that they can play around with and keep themselves busy. From mini furniture to fashionable hats – we’ve curated a collection of product designs that will cater purrfectly to your cat’s every need. Happy kitties guaranteed!

Okawa City produced a campaign revealing mini furniture for cats! Named, ‘Craftsman MADE’, it includes genuine pieces of furniture which have been scaled down. The result is cute cat-sized furniture pieces including a little bed and a sofa for your feline friends. In fact, these images showcase cats having a very gala time indeed on these furniture designs!

We all like a comfortable camping experience once in a while, or to be more millennial, a comfortable glamping experience once in a while! But what about our feline friends? Wouldn’t they like a warm tent to cozy up into? I mean maybe they haven’t ever thought of it…but I’m sure they would enjoy it! Well, the Cat Camp is here! And it’s a mini indoor tent, especially for our cats. It’s quite similar to the mini display tents seen in outdoor shops, and it’s exactly like the larger tents for humans except its tiny…and cuter! 21.5 x 21.5 x 14 inches in size, the Cat Camp is spacious enough to accommodate almost all breeds of cats. A side-zip makes it extremely easy to enter, and it pitches just like a normal tent.

The KittySpring provides continuous fresh water for your cat, unlike regular water bowls that sit for long, allowing the water to go stale. Made from materials that are 100% food safe and easy to clean, the KittySpring uses a refillable bottle that supplies water to a transparent bowl (with a pebble-shaped cover). The water passes through a stainless steel filter to ensure purity, giving your cats fresh drinking water whenever they need it. As the bowl empties, it automatically gets replenished by the reservoir using a unique gravitational system that’s completely noise-free since it doesn’t run on an electrical motor. The bottle and bowl are easy to clean too and can be rinsed with soap water or even placed in a dishwasher for thorough cleaning. The stainless steel filter, on the other hand, lasts for years without needing replacement.

Wondering what these cats are wearing on their heads? They’re called Nukege Hats! The hats are made from the feline’s own fur. Old sheds are transformed into cute little hats for the cats! As adorable as these hats look, and fashionable too, I wonder if the cats actually like wearing them or no?

The Circle Zero from PLUTO is a smart litter box that takes care of your cat’s business. Designed to be fully automated, fully enclosed, and exceptionally silent, the litter box comes with a completely enclosed design to provide a private experience. Sensors on the box detect the presence of the cat and wait for a full 7 minutes after they’re done to automatically (and silently) scoop the waste from the litter and store it separately while completely containing and eliminating any odor too. Once the waste compartment is full, you can use any bag or liner to collect it and throw it away. The Circle Zero works with any brand of kitty litter and comes with two types of scoop designs. Sensors within the box (although it’s technically a sphere) keep track of your cat’s routines and can notify you via an app if any irregularities are spotted.

Designed to constantly pique a cat’s curiosity, the Cheerble is a board-and-ball combination that is to cats what pinball is to humans. It features a hyperactive vibrating ball that darts around a board, while your cat constantly follows it as a predator follows its prey. At the heart of the Cheerble board game is its ball, a durable ping-pong ball-shaped device with a synthetic fiber coating that almost looks like an abstract mouse. The ball, with built-in motors and lights, can be set to one of three active settings, causing it to dart around chaotically, grabbing a cat’s attention in the process. Paired along with the ball is the Cheerble board, which comes in two variants, both with corrugated cardboard bases – the same material used to make cat-scratching posts.

The external shape of Cat Person’s shipping boxes was maintained by taking advantage of all the interior space. Granneberg designed three shipping containers for Cat Person, each forming different structures. The first, which contains initial orders for Cat Person customers, is the trial shipper and that transforms into the Paw Puzzler, a custom mailer box with a perforated corrugate tray that transforms into a shorter box dotted with holes large enough for a toy ball and your cat’s paw. The second shipping container is fitted to ship Cat Person’s most frequently bought store items, reshapes into the Cat Chalet, similar to a cardboard castle formation, with elongated dust flaps that nest together to become a peaked roof. The last shipping container is sized for the larger orders and converts into a Cat Condo much like the Cat Chalet, except the Condo’s elongated dust flaps are used to bend and separate the box into two rooms for cats to crawl between.

Sunghoon Park’s ‘Carrio’ is quite versatile and modular as well! At first glance, it may look like an ordinary pet carrier, but once you dwell deeper, it has a bit of a surprise in store for you. At home, Carrio can be used as a bed or a quaint resting spot for your pet, a personal area for your pet to laze around in after a long day of play. When it comes to functioning as a carrier, it provides two modules, owing to two types of straps that can be customized. It can be used as a carrier backpack, slip it onto your shoulders effortlessly and take your pet alongside you wherever you please. Put on the second pair of straps, and it can be used as a travel carrier bag! You can hold it horizontally like a duffle bag, apt for your larger furry friends.

PaiPai Pets’ double basin cat kennel is a cat tower and console storage cabinet in one. Looking at the kennel head-on, two wide doors border a narrower middle door, which opens up to the kennel’s storage unit and jungle-gym interior. On the left and right sides of the kennel, there’s enough space to fit two large litter boxes, which are always accessible through the middle door’s open porthole. Behind the kennel’s center cabinet, storage shelves can be found where cat owners can stow away smaller items like cans of wet cat food and litter scoopers. Painted in bright white, with natural wood accents along the perimeter, the kennel can remain discreet even in busier home spaces like the living room or den.

The Cat Person Mesa Bowl No-Tip Food Dish has been designed exclusively for cats! Usually, when cats eat, they hunch over, and honestly, their crouched position doesn’t look very comfortable. Hence Cat Person created an ergonomically designed bowl that features an elevated stand, so your cat can eat in a healthier position! With its six-inch diameter, the bowl also accommodates your kitty’s long whiskers.

This cat tower adopts a minimal hardwood design and stripped-down aesthetics to fit with every room’s interior!

For as long as they’ve been around, cat towers have been adorned with beige carpeting. Invented in 1968, the first “cat tree” had carpeted perches, boxes, and inclines where cats could look out and observe all the goings-on of their territory. Updating the cat tower to fit today’s interior design standards, designers with Ziel Home Furnishing, a brand enterprise in Zhengzhou, China, have created Watch Tower, a hardwood cat tree that gives the cat tower from the 1960s a modern-day makeover.

While beige carpeting was fashionable when the first cat tower was invented, it has since been swapped for more reserved, minimal designs that feature hardwood accents and stripped-down ornamentation. Watch Tower carries a pretty wide and hefty base, which maintains stability for the rest of the tower. The first tier from the base features a wooden deck shaped like a donut through which cats can climb and jump before heading over to the second tier. Just above the wooden donut deck, cats can saunter their way to the wooden platform that juts out to hover above the ground, where they can hang out and paw at Watch Tower’s ball-on-a-string. Following research done on other models of cat towers, the designers learned that cats enjoy the tower’s top ledge to rest and look out over their home and observe all of its goings-on.

Watch Tower carries just enough understated sophistication to fit into living rooms and play areas where hardwood flooring is the predominant design scheme. Then, its playful design provides just enough entertainment for cats to slowly work their way up the tower for the whole day through. In addition to its adaptive design and entertaining layout, Watch Tower is detachable for easy disassembly and assembly. When the cat deems they’ve had enough time perched away in their observatory, then the whole tower can come apart to be stored away out of sight.

Designer: Ziel Home FurnishingTechnology Co., Ltd.

Following the cat tower from its base to its topmost perch, Watch Tower was designed to offer play on the bottom and a restful sanctuary up top.

The topmost perch provides a cushioned seat for cats to rest in and the circular scratching pad offers a place for cats to strengthen their claws and paws.

Detachable throughout, once your cat is finished rest up top, the whole structure can be easily dismantled and stored away.

Made entirely out of hardwood, Watch Tower was built to fit into any living room, with a minimal, yet sophisticated design.

This cat kennel doubles as a cat tower and storage area with enough room for two indoor litter boxes!

For the most part, cats know how to take care of themselves. The only thing they can’t do is buy cat litter and tin cans filled with wet salmon puree or chicken. All they need is a tiny home to call their own and they’ll be set. Luckily enough, designers at PaiPai Pets created a sort of tiny home for cats to play inside of and where their humans can stow away the litter box.

Along the sides of the kennel, smaller portholes allow for plenty of airflow as well as a fun way for you to play whack-a-mole with your cat.

One of the main reasons people stay away from adopting kittens and cats is due to the smell of cat litter and the hassle that comes with taking care of that– if only cats could take care of their business and its smell too. PaiPai Pets’ double basin cat kennel provides a way for you and your cat to have your tuna and eat it too. With enough space to house two litter boxes and all the feline accessories you might need, PaiPai Pets takes care of the dirty business that we wish our cat could.

Designer: PaiPai Pets

PaiPai Pets’ double basin cat kennel has enough room to git two full-size litter boxes.

When closed, PaiPai Pets’ cat kennel is as nondescript as any other console storage unit.

The middle door opens up to a shelved compartment area for smaller accessories like litter scoopers and cans of food.

While the double basin cat kennel features areas for two litter boxes, there’s also room for a play area in the middle.

The side panels of PaiPai Pets’ cat kennel feature circular portholes that allow airflow and an additional play area for cats.

This DIY paper cat house makes a quirky hiding place fit for your feline friends!

We can learn a thing or two from cats– they never get bored. If there’s a box in the house, you can bet your cat will find it and make a day of it. We have a symbiotic relationship that way– we buy a product and cats play in its packaging. The benefit for them is playing in a box, while ours is that we get to watch them play in a box. To make our role a little more exciting, Taesung Yoon designed Pulpet, a DIY paper cat house.

Pulpet initially consists of eco-friendly paper cutouts, which are ultimately handcrafted and put together to assemble a cat house in the shape of a geometric, sitting cat. Users can easily assemble Pulpet without any additional building components. Prepared with all the necessary contents for assembly, Pulpet is easily constructed by adhering the geometric faces together to form the shape of a cat. If like me, the shape of a cat doesn’t readily come to your creative eye, an assembly manual comes included with the paper house cutouts.

To make Pulpet eco-friendly, Taesung Yoon sourced FSC-certified paper material harvested from forests that are responsibly managed and environmentally conscious. Since cats can’t help but scratch and claw at cardboard, Taesung Yoon chose paper material that doesn’t puncture easily and won’t elicit any scratching from your cat. Further enhancing Pulpet’s durability factor, the paper comes equipped with lightfast technology so that Pulpet’s black exterior won’t fade in sunlight, measures a neutral pH level, and uses chlorine-free bleaching pulp, which protects both your cat and the environment.

Designer: Taesung Yoon

Shaped in the image of a sitting cat, Pulpet is instantly recognizable to your feline friend.

Larger than the average-sized cat, Pulpet is large enough to fit any cat but small enough to fit into any interior space.

The matte black shading of Pulpet provides a personal hiding place for your cat.

Cats love to hide in boxes because they recall hunting instincts.

Precise measuring of each assembly piece is crucial for building Pulpet.

Through adhesive backing, each piece of Pulpet can easily be attached to and detached from one another.

This furniture design is a functional piece for you and a playful landscape for your cat!

Do your pets understand personal boundaries or are they normal? Sharing space has become more challenging post-pandemic as our work and non-work lives have merged into one home but we have also started spending a lot more time with our pets who may be thinking “why is this human taking over my favorite chair?” So Space International created catHAUS that encourages harmony between you and your cat when you are in the same space!

The angular furniture piece was envisioned to be a domestic retreat for an undomesticated species. It incorporates your needs and your pet’s needs too – two different functions but in the same piece of furniture. For you, catHAUS is a seating option and for your cat, it is a landscape of different textures. Playing off of the iconographic conventions of the familiar gable roof, catHAUS operates at the scale of both shelter and furniture.

Its exterior is abstract and neutral in its materiality while the plush interior is finished in synthetic turf and vertical supports wrapped in sisal rope. The design is highly engaging for your feline friend and keeps them from disturbing you while you read, work or watch Netflix!

This space-saving TV unit doubles as a cozy home for your beloved cat!

Pets infuse a new spurt of energy into your dull life, and they deserve all the love and comfort one can shower them with. Sure it’s one thing bringing home the most lavish pet furniture but how about what the pet is actually craving? A cat for example – always looking to hide in the vantage corners of the home or finding a cozy spot behind the clutter of your home entertainment system. So what you think of as a stress-free environment for them might actually be a case where they can benefit from some mindfulness idea.

Industrial designer Jong Hoon Yoon from Seoul, Korea pondered over the unique idea of thinking from a pet’s perspective and designing an intuitive TV stand. Christened “With”, the space-saving TV unit doubles as a cozy spot for your cat to never let go of. All this while being considerate of the kind human too. Yes, With considers the positioning of the cat and the fellow human, so that they both are in their comfort zone and don’t bother each other. For us, the TV is a mere source of entertainment as well as lousy around on our couch binge-watching streaming content. On the other hand, the heat produced from the TV and the accompanying electronics is an opportunity for your pet to curl up and enjoy in their own space.

Identifying these scenarios, Jong penned this interesting TV stand design with a piped design to remove bulkiness while still having enough space for the cat on the back to find a home. The backside of the panel has three sections that each serve a purpose for the cat to explore at will. The top panel gives the feline a vantage spot to keep an eye on things, the middle section is for hiding, and the bottom section acts as a cozy warm space to rest and sleep. Keeping in mind the safety of the loved pet, there are fabric mats in various colors. Toy accessories can be attached to the piped structure to keep your furry friend sharp and active via play.

In a way, this clever home accessory creates harmony between you and your pet without having the need to go buy extra pet furniture that can take up space. It about sharing each other’s lifestyle and living happily ever after!

Furniture meets cat lovers for modern designs that help you perfect your work-pet balance: Part 2

ascend_desk_for_cats_layout

How many cats do you have at home? Since you are already here, I assume you are either a cat-slave or a cat entertainer. My cat is a middle-aged boy who truly believes he is great at trekking around all the furniture around the house. From day one, when they scooted about the house as a kitten intent on scratching and peeling away every bit of fabric from my sofa to my curtain, to the current day – when every new bag of plastic to a chair gets scrutinized by the sniffy noses and scratchy paws, my cat owns my furniture before me. Now, when I saw the furniture that you will read about in the below article, I knew how much he would like it. It is like having a Japanese cat-cafe at my home-office (I knew this day would come one day). Now keep your paws on your mouse and scroll below!

ascend_01

In all the desk designs I’ve seen over the years, this is a first for me! It’s called ‘Ascend’ and it’s been created by Dan Devine for all the cat ladies and fellas out there. Like any cat person will tell you, the moment you give attention to anything but your furry friend, they’ll find a way to lounge on your keyboard or knock over your utensils until it’s back on them! Designed with this in mind, the wood desk has been crafted with multiple ramps and landings for cats to perch up and play. If you can’t fight ’em, invite ’em!

The idea behind the Gatrimonial bed frame by CatLife is that it should be a comforting space for the pet and owner. The cat gets a secure, comfortable den, and does not feel as if you are invading his/her space. The furniture also provides plenty of stimuli to keep him/her entertained. I can already hear my roommate’s pet darting through his maze while I lie on the bed above him. Perhaps this cat-friendly furniture will encourage some casual bonding time between the two of us.

The Cat Flat has been carefully designed based on the advice of Sweden’s first cat psychologist, Susanne Hellman Holmström, who brought to light the 10 necessities apart from basic essentials that cats need for the best emotional and physical health. The needs range from scratching, cleaning fur, playing, discovering, being social, etc. and Cat Flat takes care of them all keeping in mind they spend most of their time indoors. Think of it as a hybrid of a home and a jungle gym for your cat. Based on the cat psychologist’s advice, Hellman Holmström collaborated with interior designer Eleonor Moschevitz created the details, aesthetics, and functionality of the Cat Flat.

LuluPet is the first smart cat litter box that uses excretory image recognition to track your cat’s health with 95% accuracy – yes, it means through their potty habits. More than 30% of the cats suffer from urinary tract diseases in their life and pet owners don’t catch it till it’s late. Cats inherently hide their pain so it makes it even more difficult to spot what is wrong especially with illnesses like kidney disease, heart disease, and urinary tract problems early on. With LuluPet you have more control over your cat’s health and you will be alerted of any irregularity in real-time whether it is a minor issue or a potentially major one. LuluPet uses AI image recognition to help identify urinary tract problems and a built-in camera, infrared sensor, and AI chips to analyze different types of feces.

Coming in at 8 x 2.7 m, with a steel frame and aluminum exterior, the Cyril House is a double-decker one-bedroom with a full-size kitchen, lounge area, bathroom, and home office. Resting on a double-axle trailer, this tiny home comes with a high ceiling that opens up the tiny home even further for you and your feline friend. Mounted between the office and the loft bedroom, carpeted shelves stagger between one another for your cat to traverse while you study or get work done in the home office upstairs. Across the way, you’ll find the main queen-sized bedroom with plenty of storage space and even a hollowed-out rectangular space so that you can get ready for your day without hitting your head against the ceiling. Moving down the ladder to the living area of the tiny house, the full-sized kitchen is outfitted with a built-in gas heater, dishwasher, four-burner gas stovetop, oven, full-sized refrigerator, and plenty of storage space and pantries.

People in small living spaces use low furniture (such as rugs, floor chairs) to build intimate relaxing areas while cats prefer covert spaces, but due to the limited space, there are not many places to hide or play. CatYou in a Circle by Jack Dogson (ironic huh!)didn’t want to separate the pets from their owners so it is designed to cleverly bring them together while also maintaining boundaries. The hollow armrests and backrest offer cats a playground and hiding territory while the coffee table provides a place to sleep. The woven bamboo texture makes it possible for owners to see their cats even when they are hiding and play with through its holes. The size of holes is different in different parts of the furniture to adapt to the needs of the pet as well as humans. The backrest holes are smaller to make the cats feel more secure. But holes above are bigger so that when people lean on the sofa, they can see through the backrest and find their cats underneath.

Designed to be flat-packed, the Catzz is an icosahedral shelter for cats that comes with multiple triangular panels that come together to form the enclosed shelter. The clever bit, however, is the fact that the Catzz bed actually looks like a minimalist cat head, complete with two pointy ears! Made from individual felt panels, the flat-packed bed can easily be assembled in minutes. When put together, it forms the perfect haven for your kitten, being a combination of robust and sturdy yet fuzzy and comfortable. The Catzz bed even comes with a dangling toy that you can suspend from the bed’s ear (for the cat to periodically play with), and when the bed does get dirty, it can easily be disassembled and machine-washed. Paw-sitively delightful, isn’t it?!

Are you a cat person? Well, I am, and if you are a cat person or a cat owner like me, you know the amount of attention and care that goes into looking after them. They’re fussy and prissy, worthy of all the luxuries the world has to offer! But what about the pet-owners? While our cats hold the center of our attention, we don’t want to compromise the aesthetic value of our homes as well. To please our feline friends and their owners, product designer Yoh Komiyama collaborated with Tokyo-based Rinn to create the NEKO Cat Tree, and to be honest, it’s pretty modern and fancy!

Owners get to choose between Pool-type boards, which turn your cats into poolmasters, working the table and trying to pot the 8-Ball, and between the Maze-type, which features actual obstacles, and a secondary distracting toy to truly keep your feline friends constantly engaged.

The Circle Zero from PLUTO is a smart litter box that takes care of your cat’s business. This pet carrier + bed is a multifunctional design that your pet will voluntarily jump into!

When JP, my roommate’s cat, has to go to the vet, wrangling him into his pet carrier is a team effort. JP is quick, his claws are sharp, and he is willing to do anything to avoid that plastic-shelled trap. Many pets find comfort in their crates. JP loves to curl up in a box or other confined space. The problem is that his carrier comes with negative connotations, and the material itself is hard plastic. The Hoonico new carrio 2, on the other hand, offers a soft, comfy den that your cat would voluntarily step in. I don’t see the Hoonico as a pet carrier or kennel; I see it as a cat bed that happens to be portable.

Additionally, the new carrio 2 has taken into account your comfort needs as the pet holder. The product has detachable straps that can hook onto the bag in four different ways. You can wear it as a backpack (oriented vertically or horizontally), a shoulder bag, a crossbody carrier on your chest, or hold it like a briefcase. This multifunctional feature makes the process of totting your pet as convenient as possible.

Here are a few extra features that you and your pet will love. One, the carrier’s cover has a peephole that your cat can watch the world through. Two, that same door has a magnet sewn in, so it can stick to the other half of the bag and give your cat a more scenic view. Don’t worry, your pet won’t jump out because there’s a secondary net covering underneath! The carrier also has a cloth loop where you can hook a lock around the zipper for extra pet safety.

I love the functionality of this product, but I also appreciate its aesthetic. The neutral gray fabric could match with most outfit color schemes, making it the perfect accessory. I imagine the Hoonico as a practical transport vessel, but with its stylish design, I’d be tempted to carry my roommate’s cat wherever I go.
