The company unveiled the first edition of the BOLD back in 2021, with the same Graphene technology and a stunning 260W output. The BOLD 2 pushes those odds by offering a higher power output in the same, classic, crowd-favorite design. This tiny wireless charger is a convenient alternative to the Apple MagSafe Charger

Whether you’re working from home, or in a corporate office, the one thing that’s pretty much consistent in both these scenarios is a desk! A desk is probably one of the most important pieces of furniture in our modern lives, only because we spend the majority of our day on it. You may be typing away to glory, munching away on a snack, or simply fidgeting with a random object – you do end up spending hours on your desk. And hence, it’s really important that your desk be neat, tidy, and uncluttered. Not only will this improve your work routine and productivity, but it will also help you maintain a clearer and more streamlined mindset. And, I’ve discovered that adding limited, quality, and innovative products to my desk setup can help me in achieving these goals! And a nifty desk accessory that I recently came across is the Neatcharge wireless charger.

Designed by office furniture brand Humanscale, the Neatcharge is a wireless charger that can be neatly attached to the underside of your work desk or any flat surface to subtly charge your phones. The 13-centimeter-wide wireless charger was designed as a discreet alternative to traditional wired chargers, which tend to clutter up our desks and make them messy. Neatcharge, on the other hand, helps to maintain a clean work desk and can be utilized in the office and home as well.

The charger can be attached to the underbelly of a flat surface using screws or double-sided tape. Once you place the phone on the wireless charger, it turns on and uses magnetic resonance technology to power the phone. Once you remove the phone from the charger, it instantly powers off.

The Ringo Bottle looks pretty much like any travel thermos you’ve seen… however, it comes with one key difference that sets it apart. No, it doesn’t track your hydration like those fancy-schmancy smart bottles, and no, it doesn’t have a UV light built into it to sterilize the insides. It does something much more ingenious. Look to the top of the Ringo and you’ll see a ring-shaped element on the top. Angle it upwards and the element works as a handle for carrying the Ringo around, but it also does something else that’s pretty remarkable. Built with magnets on the inside, the ring lets you snap your MagSafe-ready iPhone onto it, giving your phone a nifty, stable stand. It works rather intuitively without any adjustable clamps or grips, and is a handy little instrument to keep your phone propped up while you watch videos, take calls, or film viral content.

You see, the chances of you carrying a tripod or stand around with you are negligible, but having a water bottle handy is a much more likely eventuality. Whether you’re at work, at the gym, in the outdoors, or even in the kitchen, all you need is the Ringo and you’ve got yourself a reliable stand that works with iPhones or even other smartphones or tablets with the MagSafe sticker.

In doing so, the Ringo becomes a bottle you’re much more likely to carry, because you probably see it as a tripod first and a bottle second. The Ringo bottle comes in two sizes – a regular 24oz (710ml) and a large 32oz (950ml), with as many as 4 color options to choose from. The bottles are designed with a wide mouth and internal threading, which means it’s easier to sip from and easy to clean too, and the bottle (sans the cap) is also dishwasher-friendly.

The Ringo’s appeal isn’t limited to just iPhones, though. Ringo’s makers even designed their own ‘Magnetic Booster Ring’ that sticks onto other devices including iPads, giving them MagSafe capabilities. With 16 high-powered N52 MagSafe magnets, housed within a strong polymer frame with an adhesive pad back, the Magnetic Booster Ring can even support the heaviest iPad Pro 12.9-inch tablet, suspending it securely from the Ringo bottle.

Ultimately, the Ringo is just an incredibly smart idea that solves more than just one problem. It’s a bottle, but it’s also a phone stand. It’s ubiquitous in a way that’ll make you want to carry your bottle around more, and stable enough to be used anywhere and everywhere, making it perfect for creators and consumers alike. Moreover, it’s designed to be reusable, pushing you to be less reliable on disposable single-use plastic bottles in the process. Never in my life did I think being obsessed with your smartphone would actually be helpful to the planet, but here I am, being proved wrong… and I love it!

Unlike other similar accessories on the market that makes use of fans drawing power from the source, this one has a greener, low-noise cooling material mode.

What we like

  • As the iPhone 14 gets heated, the water content in the hydrogel is evaporated, then heat dissipation happens, and ultimately the water is again absorbed by the layer

Why is it noteworthy?

The opposite face of the power bank has some ridges but are finer ones compared to the backside. The most important detail here is the large circle that today has become associated with Apple’s MagSafe charging tech for iPhones. It often indicates where the magnet is located on a charging accessory, though the magnets are also meant to align charging coils anyway. When attached to an iPhone, SHARGE gives the stylish phone a more rugged, outdoor personality, even if only for a brief period.

What we like

  • Rugged + outdoor aesthetic

What we dislike

  • The battery level indicator still uses the same old 5 LED indicator instead of giving a specific battery level.

Unlike its predecessor, the triangular design of this multi-device charging dock lets you place your iPhone at the best possible angle for multimedia consumption in either portrait or landscape mode. Of course, the functionality is pretty much the same, albeit with a new form factor which I find to be more ergonomic. There are three separate wireless charging pads on the front, side and on base. The front one is a 15W MagSafe pad for charging the iPhone, while the other two are 5W Qi pads for Apple earbuds and smartwatch. The Apple Watch can hang from the side charging dock and the AirPods Pro hides in a hollow cavity on the base.

737 MagGo Charger can juice up the latest iPhone 14 Pro Max to 50 percent level in just 47 minutes flat. Both the other gadgets will be charged at normal speed, but that won’t be a downside by any stretch of the imagination given the accessory’s multi-use aspect. Apple might prefer that you buy its AirTag separately, but that’s not something you can add to the Apple MagSafe leather wallet anyway, at least not without resorting to ugly hacks.

Multifunctional wireless charger concept offers a more tactile experience

The birth and meteoric rise of the iPhone pretty much ended the use of physical controls on smartphones. Sure, there are still two or three buttons there, but only because designers and engineers haven’t come up with a foolproof touch-only replacement for them just yet. This trend of devices that can be controlled only by a tap or a swipe has crept into other products, especially those related to smartphones. Minimalist design and wireless charging technology both have a hand in a generation of wireless chargers almost devoid of any physical mechanism. While some might appreciate the simplicity of these designs, others might find them boring and even distant. The latter group of people might find this wireless charger to be a little bit comforting, bringing some level of active interaction back to our increasingly digital lives.

The earliest wireless chargers had to be flat and horizontal for a good reason. The limits of technology at that time required that devices and chargers have to be very close and with magnetic coils overlapping at a precise position. Now that magnetic wireless charging is a thing, one can even place a phone vertically on a wall-mounted charger. What hasn’t changed, however, is how these surfaces still need to be completely flat, which interestingly still resulted in mostly flat designs anyway.

MagSafe Trio, which might be too common a name for this design, is a concept that tries to bring a bit of life to the otherwise banal wireless charger. It does so by adding back some physical controls but without using typical buttons or switches. The charger requires a physical action before you can actually use a function, making the activity more intentional, deliberate, and, in a way, personal.

Pushing a spring-loaded button on the front, for example, makes the MagSafe disc pop up for charging a compatible iPhone. On the side, you have to twist and pull a knob to reveal an Apple Watch charger. The top of the box-like charger is admittedly flat to accommodate an AirPods case. There is a button there to switch on a soft light, though it isn’t clear if it also toggles the earbuds’ charging. That light also makes this charger concept a good night lamp for your bedside table.

The MagSafe Trio concept makes charging a bit more interactive and almost playful, but it might not appeal to those who just want to drop or stick their devices to a charger at the end of a tiring day. The design also leaves a few questions unanswered, like how the mechanisms will fit in such a small body or how it won’t topple forward with a heavy iPhone hanging from it. Still, it’s an interesting idea that brings a little bit of life to sometimes dreary and commonplace chargers. That said, the new wave of magnetic wireless chargers with unconventional designs is also attacking that problem from different and more practical angles, making it a bit more interesting to watch this space.

The case guards your phone, protecting it from drops of up to 6 feet (1.8 meters), while the inside features a recycled microfiber lining that keeps the glass back of your phone free of scratches. Magnets within the case let you easily snap on the wallet, which holds two of your most-used cards. The interaction is reliable and strong, making it a perfect alternative to Apple’s own accessories.

Without the wallet, the Native Union Profile Fox case is still MagSafe compatible, letting you snap on your charger or even use a regular wireless charging pad with your phone. Snap the wallet on and you’ve now got yourself the ideal EDC that fits right in your pocket, giving you access to your tech and cards all in one cohesive unit.
