Peter Capaldi is shaping up to be an amazing Doctor. He seems to channel several of the past Doctors, while adding his own unique spin to the character. IMHO, the writing could be better, but I love Capaldi’s Doctor. So does Etsy artist GallifreyanMarket, who made these awesome custom Vans all decked out in a 12th Doctor theme.

Nissan announces e-NV200 all-electric van, production slated for 2013

So, Chrysler's electric postal van never really took off -- perhaps a few too many mailmen refused to give up those roomy Grumman LLVs -- but now Nissan is giving the electric van concept a go. Yesterday the company announced the e-NV200 compact van (previously teased as a concept), which will go into production in 2013. The van will be Nissan's second all-electric vehicle, following the 2010 Leaf. The e-NV200's design is quite similar to that of the NV200 van, but it swaps taxi-cab yellow for the Leaf's shade of robin's egg blue. Nissan says it's putting $126 million into producing the new model, but so far it's keeping mum on other details. Head past the break for the full press release

Initially, this case was created by Vans for promotional use only, but some enterprising bloggers managed to convince the company to release it to a wider audience.

Rubber around your precious iPhone is good, and there is plenty of rubber on this case. The back of the case looks just like the rubber sole from a pair of Vans sneakers, which is why it’s just so awesome.

They are available from Vans stores for $28 (USD). However, they’re so hard to come by that you can find some on eBay for $60 to $100 and more. If you really want one, you should probably scour the Vans stores in your city and maybe you’ll strike gold. I think I might try to do that myself.

Custom Painted Sonic the Hedgehog Sneakers for Sidewalk Spin-Dashes

These custom Sonic the Hedgehog Vans are pretty awesome, with a ton of nice detail. They were made by Reddit user lumpyheadedbunny and I have to say that they look great. They take a long time to make, but obviously they are well worth it.

If you want a pair, they will cost you about $350(USD). Sure that’s expensive, but you would be the only one on your block rocking these babies. Who knows, they might even give you Sonic’s super speed. Though I doubt it. Also, each pair takes between 45 and 60 hours to complete, so the asking price is a bargain when you think about it.

And for that price, the artist guarantees lifetime touch-ups for free, so you are getting a great service that will keep them looking great for longer. How many sellers will do that for you
