Star Wars Schematics Hawaiian Shirt Is Geeky on More Than One Level

Sometimes we have stuff to talk about that is sort of like Inception – something wrapped in something similar to itself. This Hawaiian shirt is a perfect example. You have to be a geek to wear a Hawaiian shirt to begin with, or at least over the age of 55. So the guy in the shirt is Geekception layer number one.

On top of that, this shirt has a Star Wars print making up Geekception layer number two. On close inspection, you will find schematics of AT-ATs, Walkers, and TIE Fighters with tags pointing out their parts. The shirt even has Imperial logo buttons.

It’s perfect for the summer pool party you have no intention of swimming at. You can pick one up for $49.99(USD) at ThinkGeek.

X-Wing Fighter Lamp Stays on Target

This X-Wing lamp will add just the right kind of light to your man cave or living space. It will keep your personal Rebel base safe and looking awesome.

This amazing lamp was made by Benjamin Rice, a designer from Manchester, UK. Benjamin made this lamp for SPIN London, an urban bicycling show. Why was it at a bicycle show? Well, because he made it from some old Raleigh Grifter children’s bikes. There is no doubt that this was the best thing there.

In a darkened room, it looks like it’s making the Death Star trench run. Help me Benjamin Rice. You are my only hope. How can I pay you for this lamp and have it in my home?

Flying X-wing Tri-rotor: X-wing Fighters Are Now in Our Skies

Rodger Cleye made this awesome flying X-wing Fighter. Maybe it can shoot down some of those other drones in our skies. This 19 lb., five-foot-long X-Wing Fighter comes after Rodger already made a flying James Bond mannequin with a jet pack and the Marty McFly working hover-board.
xwing dronemagnify

This X-Wing is a tri-rotor design with three 100A ESCs, 1200W 1050KV motors, and 12″ rotors. It just needs an action figure in the cockpit. The frame is made from PVC to keep it as light as possible. The tri-rotor design gives it much better yaw control than quadrotors, but that means that sometimes it ends up on its nose.

Still, it is super impressive to see in action. Maybe he can make some TIE Fighter drones and a Death Star balloon and have a cool dogfight.

Star Wars Battling Fighters Slot Car Set Lets You Relive the Death Star Trench Scene

At last, a toy that lets a TIE Fighter chase an X-Wing, just like during the big Death Star battle scene in A New Hope! A Trench run that is never-ending, thanks to its figure-eight slot car track. The Star Wars Battling Fighters Set is a slot car set where the “cars” are space ships that we all know and love.

One player pilots Luke Skywalker’s “Red Five” X-Wing, while Vader’s TIE fighter gives chase. Apparently this set takes some skill to play with because the ships are slightly wider than the track. Therefore it should be challenging for either player.

The ships have LEDs that light up when racing too. And like any good kids toy, the 12-foot figure-eight track has glow-in the-dark striping for nighttime play. It will cost you $99.95 over at Hammacher Schlemmer. Completely worth it as far as I’m concerned.

Star Wars Pancake Molds

star wars pancake molds Star Wars Pancake Molds
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, someone made the greatest breakfast ever. Star Wars pancakes! Breakfast of champions. These pancake molds are available in either Vehicles or Heroes and Villains. The vehicles lets you make the Millennium Falcon, X-Wing Fighter and a Tie Fighter while the characters set is Darth Vader, Yoda, and Stormtrooper.

To make your geeky pancakes, just place the molds on a pre-heated griddle. Pour in your pancake batter. Once one side is set, remove the molds and flip the geekcakes over. Then make more. Don’t worry if you burn your pancakes, just tell everyone those went to the Dark Side. It’s all about marketing, right George Lucas?

Pink X-Wing Fighter in the Forest: Because.

Hey look. It’s a pink X-Wing in the forest? What gives? Did Ewoks get a hold of a truckload full of Pepto Bismol and assault this fighter with it? That sounds like those mischievous bastards. They love a good joke/vandalizing stuff. Did Endor have a pride parade? Nope.

This “natural X-wing” was made by Guillaume Renou for an exhibition in France that celebrates nature. Bizarre right?

If teenage girls fought for the rebellion, this is what their ships would look like – along with a fuzzy Hello Kitty plush hanging in the cockpit of course. And this guy would be their leader:

What else can you say about such a pink ship? Sure is pink. Damned Ewoks!

DIY Musical Light-Up LED Star Wars Bra

star wars led musical bra DIY Musical Light Up LED Star Wars Bra
Well this certainly is an odd one. Instructables user caitlinsdad made himself a Star Wars bra. No, not a Slave Leia one, an “Adafruit Flora Theremin LED Bra”. There’s an ultrasonic range sensor and photocell detector sensors connected to an Adafruit Flora Arduino wearable circuit board with a piezo buzzer speaker. What that means is that when you get close to it, it beeps and bloops like R2-D2:

Yeah, that’s weird sounding, yet oddly soothing. That’s supposed to be an X-Wing Fighter on the left, the Death Star on the right and the poof on top is the planet Alderaan (as well as the speaker). It’s a little rough around the edges but nice job to the maker of this one. Definitely unique.
