DIY BMO Portable Retro Console: RaspBMO

We’ve seen a BMO toy with a LEGO case and another one that appears to have a wooden case. Mike Barretta’s take on the living console has a 3D printed case and buttons. That’s right, this BMO works much like a Game Boy in that you use the buttons on its body to play.

Mike used a Raspberry Pi Model A+ and a Teensy 2.0 to power the gaming device. It has a 3.5″ LCD, a pair of 0.5W speakers and a 2200mAh battery.

Adventure Time Nesting Dolls: Mathematical Matryoshka

Nesting dolls are very cool; they originated in the 1890s in Russia. Later, they would turn up on someone’s grandma’s knick-knack table, and the rest is history. Usually a set of nesting dolls look like boring people, but not this set. They look like the characters from Adventure Time. If you have never watched Adventure Time, you are missing some truly algebraic action.

These wooden nesting dolls include Finn as the largest, Jake, Princess Bubblegum, The Ice King, and BMO. I think Jake should have been the largest of the nesting dolls. After all, he can make himself as gigantic as he wants.

The only nesting doll that doesn’t open up is BMO. Jake is 5.75″ tall and the size goes down for each one, with BMO measuring just 1.6″. You can pick up a set for $24.99(USD) at ThinkGeek.

Oh My Glob! Adventure Time Pet Toys

If you have a litter of pups like Jake, here are some fun gifts for them. Adventure Time pet toys. Because really, we all know that Peppermint Butler deserves to be chewed on by a large dog.

Antique Chair Ugraded with Cool Adventure Time Theme

This antique chair restoration is all kinds of cute and hilarious. Redditor reallylovely saw a beat up chair at an antique shop and immediately saw it’s potential. The Adventure Time was already there, it just needed to be brought to the surface.

So they cleaned it up, sanded, primed, then painted the design on it. As a nice added touch there is even glow-in-the-dark paint on Finn’s hood and his socks. After that he sealed it and added details. The chair only cost $20, but it is worth so much more now. Awesome job.

This chair is mathematical. I only wish I had it to throw in my giant loot pile.

Rodríguez has some other neat plush toys in her Etsy shop, but sadly not these dolls. However, you can see Marceline, Princess Bubblegum, and Lumpy Space Princess on her Behance page though. Any little girl would love these dolls. If you ask Lorena, maybe she can make one for you.

Geeky Woodcut Prints: Protocomics

Etsy seller Brian Reedy makes woodcut prints with geeky subjects, including Star Wars, Adventure Time as well as Marvel and DC characters. His work is not as detailed as Jed Henry and David Bull’s Ukiyo-e Heroes, but they still cast familiar characters in a new, er, old light.

Most of Brian’s prints are monochrome, but as you can see he occasionally uses gold leaf and red ink as well. All of his prints are done on rice paper.
