If you’re too lazy to change your shirt every day, then Wool & Prince’s shirt might just be the thing you need. But if jeans are the problem, then you might want to check out Naked & Famous’s line of scratch-and-sniff jeans. Each pair has layers of micro-capsules on the surface that can be scratched to reveal the scent within.

Their latest pair boasts of a minty-fresh scent to throw people off when it comes to your jeans-changing habits. Designer Brandon Svarc explains: “We designed ‘scratch-and-sniff’ jeans because we love fun and unique things. If I can make my customers smile, then I’m doing my job correctly. We love innovations and will continue to make unique and crazy fabrics of all kinds.”

And unique they are. This isn’t the first time Naked & Famous forayed into the unusual side of fashion, as they’ve debuted glow-in-the-dark jeans and pants that change hues with changes in temperature.

The mint-scented jeans are priced at $158.

Valentine’s Gift Ideas for Him

Saint Valentine’s Day is a time of the year when romance and romantic love is in the air. It is when boyfriends whisper sweet nothings in the ears of their girlfriends. And it is at such moments when...

Buy A Refrigerator Wearing Jeans

In news that will make you scratch your head until you draw blood (call an ambulance in advance), AmbienteDirect.com is selling this FAB28 Refrigerator, a fancy fridge that’s wearing jeans. Those… are words I never thought I’d say. The Fridjeanator (YEAH I DID!) is a limited edition — only 500 are available for purchase. Which is pretty hilarious if you think about it. I mean, sure, the world is a crazy place so there’s bound to be some weirdo out there who will gladly drop the nearly $2500 on this thing. But 500 people? I don’t wanna live on this planet anymore.

EKOCYCLE Accessories Made out of Garbage

There is a lot of garbage in the world, which is probably why Coca-Cola and will.i.am partnered up to create EKOCYCLE, an initiative that helps market gadgets, clothing and other products which use up to 100% plastic and aluminum waste as source material.

Among the products in the line are the EKOCYCLE Beats by Dre headphones – which contain 31% recycled materials, and have three different recycled PET plastics, while still delivering optimal sound.

Levi’s has created the 29% post-consumer recycled 501 Waste<Less Jeans thanks to the fact that its polyester is a byproduct of waste thermoplastics. They use an average of eight different recycled plastic bottles per pair of jeans, and Levi’s expects to repurpose over 3.5 million recycled PET plastic bottles in the Spring of this year alone.

The Barely There smartphone case from Casemate uses 100% recycled materials, and extends the life of discarded waste while protecting your shiny new tech.ekocycle accessories headphones cases jeans levis casemate

These products are pretty cool, and I hope that more of our gear is made out of garbage, because there is certainly plenty left over in landfills everywhere.

Wrangler Debuts Moisturizing Jeans

The only thing better than getting yourself a new pair of jeans is getting one that’s been infused with “hydrating oils and butters such as apricot kernel oil, passion fruit oil, rosehip oil and shea butter.” Right? No? Heck, we don’t know anything about fashion, or whether women would ever be into such a thing, but there you have it. They’re called the Demin Spa Jeans. Lizzie Jagger (yes, Mick Jagger’s daughter) is the one modelling them in the picture, and has this to say about the experience:

“They definitely feel cooler than regular jeans,” said Lizzie Jagger in a film to promote the style. “After a day wearing them, my legs feel great – they come out feeling more silky than usual.”

They come in three variants: Aloe Vera (that soothes sensitive skin), Olive Extract (which helps keep skin toned and moisturized) and Smooth Legs (that reduces the texture of cellulite). After the oils and botanicals wear off (roughly two weeks after first wear), you can purchase a refresher spray. The pants are being launched on UK-based online retailer Asos, and will be available for £85 (or about $134) starting on January 28th. Asos does deliver to the US.

Paintings Made Entirely Out of Jeans

What happens to your old jeans that no longer fit? Mine stay in the closet, in the hopes that they will someday fit again. Of course, once they do, they risk being dreadfully outdated. Those super low waist flares will be in style again when I’m 40, right? Enough about me, luckily Sweden-based British artist Ian Berry doesn’t have irrational hopes and dreams. Better known as Denimu, he works solely with jeans of varying shades of blue to create some amazing scenes of urban landscapes and the people that live in them. The artist’s “paintings” present a remarkable sense of color, shade, and shape.

I/O Denim Jeans Add Perfect Pocket for Smartphones

Depending on what type of jeans you wear, I think most of us will agree that it can be uncomfortable having to carry your smartphone in the front pocket. Years ago, I had a pair of dress slacks that had a little pocket midway down the thigh that unzipped that you could poke a smartphone into. I thought that was a great invention.

phone jeans

A company called I/O Denim is running a Kickstarter campaign to create premium denim jeans that have very similar pocket on the leg designed to hold your smart phone for quick and easy access. Other than having that fancy little pocket above the knee for your smartphone, these are your basic denim jeans. The jeans are made in the USA, and unfortunately are far from cheap – costing roughly twice as much as a pair of your standard Levi’s – though they’re no more expensive than fancy designer brands.

The maker says that the First Edition jeans fall somewhere between skinny jeans and straight leg in the way they fit. I guess that means they won’t be too tight and they won’t be too loose. Initially, they’ll be available only in men’s sizes 32, 33, 34, and 36.

A pledge of $100(USD) will get you one of the first 50 pairs of I/O Jeans, saving $15 off of the regular price. The campaign is about 70% of the way to its goal and wraps up on 12/30/12, so if you want a pair, you should order them now.

Uh, What?: Jean/Boot/Sandal Thingies

There’s bad fashion and then there’s whatever the hell this is. Jeans? Sandals? Boots? It’s a mystery. Also a mystery? What person in their right mind would wear them? These are jeans sandal boots. They’re handmade out of vintage jeans by Etsy seller DaniKshoes who promises the pockets are still fully functional. Wheeeeeeee! Look, I feel horrible about this whole thing. Mainly in the eye department. Looking at these things are causing me some severe pain specifically in the retinas. But also, I feel pretty guilty. I mean who am I to bash these  shoes? I’m wearing flip flops with toe socks. And if you know anything about toe socks it’s that they’re not OK to wear after, say, 6th or 7th grade. Whatever, I don’t wanna grow up!

Poke Me In My Facebook Jeans

What details do you look for in good denim? Like most women, my favorites are any styles that make my butt look ridiculously good. Replay’s upcoming line of jeans don’t seem to care much about that. Their new collection called “Social Denim” comes with Facebook and Twitter capabilities built right in. Due to hit stores in December, the jeans feature an extra fifth pocket that contains a Bluetooth-connected transmitter. Pair the device with a smartphone and you can use one of a series of buttons to broadcast your mood and/or current location instantly. So the question becomes, what’s on your butt’s mind?
