TeePublic member Mdk7 played Vault Boy like a damn fiddle, turning him into a Metal Gear Solid V mascot in this awesome mashup.

Even Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima approved of his new recruit, retweeting Bezzle-ution’s shot of the t-shirt.

Incidentally, as of this writing that’s the only tweet that Bezzle-ution has sent. Perhaps he’s also Mdk7?

Streets of Rage x The Simpsons T-Shirt: Streets of Beige

Springfield was once a happy, peaceful place… until one day a powerful secret criminal organization took over. A group of young locals has sworn to clean up the city. Among them are Bart Simpson, Lisa Simpson and Milhouse Van Houten. They are willing to risk anything… even their lives… on the…

Busted Ghost Tee Mashes up the Coolest Parts of the ’80s

Two of my favorite things about the ’80s were Pac-Man and Ghostbusters. I even had the Ghostbusters theme by Ray Parker Jr. on a 45 rpm record, and jammed out to that tune constantly. Now I’ll have “Who Ya Gonna Call” in my head all day.

ghost-1zoom in

I am a fan of offbeat t-shirts and when they mash up two of my favorite things from my youth, you can bet I want one. Designer Naolito’s Busted Ghost shirt features the four ghosts from Pac-Man and one of them has been turned blue and captured. I’m assuming it was Pinky, who is suspiciously missing from the group.

The ghost is laying in one of the traps that the Ghostbusters used for capturing and storing ghosts in their fancy unlicensed particle accelerator thingy. The shirt is up for pre-order for $20 at BustedTees, and ships in early September.

Disney Heroines as League of Legends Champions: Adorbz Disney Characters

Part of the appeal of MOBAs like League of Legends is that they have tons of playable characters. You know who else has tons of characters? Disney. DeviantArt member Elasar Reem turned just a subset of Disney characters into LOL champions.

Imagine the possibilities. Elsa, Jack-Jack, Yoda, Deadpool and Wall-E in one game? It would make Kingdom Hearts look like The Stanley Parable.

Of course, MOBAs are also notorious for having toxic environment. Perhaps Disney wouldn’t want to subject its fans to a whole new world of BM. Check out Elasar’s DeviantArt page for more of her work.

LEGO Friends Death Star: That’s No Play Date…

LEGO enthusiast Steve Price shows what could happen if the girls of the LEGO Friends set got their hands on the Galactic Empire’s Death Star. In Steve’s The Friends Star, the Heartlake City kids gave the Star Wars space station a bright and pastel-colored makeover, then they invited their buddies for what has to be the largest children’s party in the galaxy.

Note that they kept the superlaser running. These kids have a mean streak. Head to Steve’s Flickr page to see more of The Friends Star.

7 Marvel Superheroes With Their Own Comic Book Cereals

Gamma Snacks

Not that we need any more advertising and brand placing in our lives, but this idea of using Marvel Superheroes (and one lovable movie villain) like Iron Man, Thor, Captain American, Loki, Hulk, Groot and Deadpool on cereals boxes is incredibly cool.

The combination of Bamboota and Elliot Fernandez brought together this wonderful project, taking a very needed spin on the boxes of morning cereals.

Iron Man (Iron Bran)

Comes along with Pepper Potts, the mandarin, a lot of money and also a potential drinking problem, not to mention the Nick Fury eye patch.

Loki (Loki Charms)

Comes along with a depress Thor and also one awesome staff among other things. And speaking of his bashing brother…

Thor (Honey Nut Thorrios)

Comes along with his Avenger friends, including the useless Black Widow and Hawkeye. Ther Mjolnir as well, if you’re worthy of picking it up.

Deadpool (Deadpools)

As expected from the Merc with a Mouth, this box comes with things that go Boom!

Hulk (Gamma Snacks)

If you get these gamma snacks, you’ll also receive a Loki with a black eye, one solemn Nick Fury and maybe Gamma radiation, which usually isn’t a good thing.

Captain America (Ameri-Crunch)

You’ll be filled with Red, White and Blue emotions after biting your way through this.

Groot (Groot Loops)

How a well made film made a tree and a raccoon incredibly popular.

Star Wars Death Star Trench Run with Star Trek Reboot Music

Ronen V has created a mashup video that merges the Death Star trench run scene from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope with dramatic music by Michael Giacchino from the 2009 Star Trek reboot film. They go together surprisingly well. Most impressive.

death star runmagnify

While this music puts a whole new spin on the attack against the Death Star, I have to say that there is no substitute for John Williams’ original Star Wars score.

And don’t get me wrong, this bit of Star Trek music is cool and all, but it doesn’t hold a candle to some of the music from the original Trek movies. I’d like to see some of that music with Star Wars.

1960′s TV Show Batmobile / Tumbler Mashup

Some things are awesome together. Peanut butter and chocolate, cookies and milk, Picard and Riker, just to name a few. You know what else is awesome? Slamming the 1960s Batmobile together with a modern Tumbler. I am now in love with a car that I never knew existed before today. Don’t talk smack about her, I’ll hit you.

batmobile mashupmagnify

Do you think Adam West and Christian Bale fight over who gets to drive it? I can’t find any info about this amazing Superhero mover, but I really want to own it. Or at least gaze upon more pictures.

If you see her on the street somewhere… tell her that I love her – even though I know she’s just Photoshopped.

10 Disney Characters in a Realistic, Unhappy Ending

Ratatouille

Fairytales are nice, and Disney does a great job of delivering us the dream of some legendary characters. However, in real life, the same characters might end up having a less than happy ending or even existence.

Simba

Not all lion cubs become the rulers of pride rock. Some of them end up being confined in a zoo.

Winnie the Pooh

Things aren’t looking up for bears as they have less and less trees to rub their backs on.

Ratatouille

In real life, little rats don’t become the puppet masters of inspiring chefs. They often get injected with stuff so we can have medicine and cleaning products.

Belle

Not all beauty just comes naturally, although some might suggest that there’s nothing beautiful about going under the knife for something that completely cosmetic and has nothing to do with health.

Bambi

This happens quite a lot where hunters roam free without anyone holding them back.

Ariel

Oil spillage kills mermaids too.

Mulan

Swords ain’t got a chance against pollution.

Alice

You need some strong hallucinogens to come up with that kind of wonderland.

Chicken Little

Some chickens get to live free, some end up in a bucket.

Dumbo

Not all elephants get to fly away and leave the circus.

These mashups are all from the awesome Tumblr blog Unhappily Ever After

For a less depressing outcome, check out Disney characters as Hogwarts students or as university students.

Princess Leia Falls for Indiana Jones

I always get a kick out of mashups of films that I loved as a kid. I really like this new work from artist James Hance. He has taken Princess Leia complete with her giant hair buns and put her in a picture with Indiana Jones.

princess leia indiana jones 620x620magnify

It is cool to see the wrong character put with his love interest from the Star Wars movies. The art is said to be a work in progress, but it already looks complete to me. In fact, it looks realistic enough to have been some sort of mistake at a movie poster printing factory.

Hance is the same guy who melded Adventure Time with Doctor Who in the past.
