T.Rex Nightlight Guards You While You Dino-snore

Check out this cool T.Rex night light from lampUp. This guy will keep you safe while you sleep, looking like a dinosaur that has returned as a Jedi ghost. Don’t discount him due to his stubby and tiny arms. This guy is all teeth and he will tear boogeymen limb from limb.

The design is engraved into 6mm acrylic that is lit with a string of LEDs, giving it that cool hologram-like vibe. Use it as a night light or just a cool desk lamp. He stands 6.5″ tall and 6″ wide on a bamboo base, and if you don’t want him lit up in green, you can have him light up in a bunch of other colors.

I would put some leafy houseplants behind him so it looks like he is roaming in the jungle, but that’s just me. Be sure to check out lampUp’s Etsy shop for lots of other cool nightlights.

Illumibowl Toilet Bowl Light: Paradise by the Bathroom Light

Ladies and gentlemen, the future of toilet technology is here! This is the Illumibowl, a motion-activated light that clips onto a toilet rim between the seat and the bowl. It illuminates the bowl with the pre-selected color of your choice when it senses you’ve entered the bathroom. The only thing missing is a musical dramatic cue that makes it sound like you have found the holy grail. Or unholy grail depending on who just left the room.

You won’t need to use that bright bathroom light anymore, and this will help those with bad aim to stay on target too. I think we all need a fancy space toilet to make us feel like we are peeing on a disco spaceship.

DIY Legend of Zelda Nightlight: Fauxntom Stained Glass

Redditor BigBadBobBitchin made this beautiful The Legend of Zelda-themed nightlight as a Valentine’s Day for his girlfriend. The nightlight looks like an armory, with some of Link’s swords and shields displayed in front of a fake stained glass of the Hylian crest.

BigBadBobBitchin bought the miniature weapons at a comic convention, but he made the fake stained glass himself using plexiglass and translucent paint. He didn’t think of documenting his labor of love but as he said, you can find lots of tutorials on making fake stained glass online.

BigBadBobBitchin isn’t planning on posting instructions for making the nightlight, though he’s considering making more of it to sell. You can contact him or keep an eye on his thread on Reddit for updates.

No More Night Terrors: Captain America Shield Nightlight

Captain America Shield Nightlight

What Captain America’s shield is made of exactly, few people know. Okay, so most sources say it’s Vibranium, but we all know that doesn’t exist in our world. Regardless, it’s Captain America’s only weapon; nobody uses a shield for both defense and offense quite like Steve does, don’t you think?

Now his iconic shield–or at least a replica of it–can be your weapon against night terrors and everything that goes bump in the night, too. This nightlight with its accompanying sticker makes it look like Captain America threw his shield at your wall, partially embedding it in the process.

The Captain America Shield nightlight is available online for $45.

Hybrid Light Speaker

Nothing kills the aesthetic of a room quicker than an ugly alarm clock or speaker! If you’re in the market for something that will actually add to your vibe rather take away from it, look no further than Cromatica. It’s a combination light/speaker/clock system that can be controlled via Bluetooth from your smartphone to stream your tunes, set the alarm, or even customize the mood thanks to its LED RGB light system. A near-seamless touch sensor on top lets you control the volume, snooze, dim or turn the unit on/off.

The Hulk Fist Nightlight is Incredible

Hulk Night Light

Isn’t this the awesomest night light ever? Hulk smash your fears of the dark and the boogie man and everything in between with the Hulk nightlight. It’s in the shape of Hulk’s fist, which, as you can expect, is quite massive, measuring 5 by 5 by 6.5 inches. It comes with a sticker that gives the illusion of a cracked wall, which you’re supposed to stick on the surface before mounting the it.

The Hulk fist nightlight is battery-powered and emits a soft, almost eerie green glow so you can avoid bumping into stuff and falling over when you’re heading to the bathroom or down the stairs for a midnight snack or whatever. It’s available online for $49.

Prism Nightlight: Teetering From Light to Darkness and Back Again

Prism Nightlight

The Prism nightlight isn’t exactly a prism, although it’s shaped like one. I think it should be renamed as the see-saw nightlight because of how it works. There are no switches or anything, and no, the light isn’t equipped with sensors so that it automatically turns on or off. The switch is actually the entire lamp itself.

Just pivot it to one side to turn it on and back to the other to turn it off–like a see-saw.

The Qua Effect

Qua is a nightlight for children that exude a soothing effect thanks to its textured glass and looks. It even doubles up as a natural humidifier because of the water that you need to load in for the effect. The surreal effect of the rippled glass and water mimics the feeling of being comfortable in the womb, thus encouraging a peaceful night’s sleep. Sweet!
