Shoes that come in twos

y3_chanel_shoe_1

The Y3 shoe by Chanel Shi comes in two variants. One of them has a plain, no-nonsense avatar, but with a sole that gives it an unusual and pleasant flavor. The other avatar looks absolutely deadly, with its upper shell that is inspired by crustacean designs. The upper shell is removable, allowing you to switch between both avatars, making the Y3 great for when you want to look casual as well as when you want to dress down and grab a few eyeballs!

Designer: Chanel Shi

Aside from the 3D printed parts, you’ll need to buy other parts such as a DC motor, a micro servo and skateboard bearings. You’ll also need the tires and front suspension of the New Bright Ram 1500 Model 2424 RC Car. I found it online for $35 (USD) but Michael says you can get it for $13-$15 at Wal-Mart or Target.

Keep a few Stars and Bullet Bills around and head to Michael’s Thingiverse page to download the files, instructions and parts list.

Shell Stool Showcases Explosive Design

Shell Stool

You don’t have the bite the bullet to show everyone how tough you are. Instead, sit on one, and look cool while you’re at it with these Shell Stools designed by Jake Phipps.

They might fit best in the dens of hunters and other hobbyists, but don’t count them out just yet because they’ll add some glitz to whatever room they’re added to, regardless of the homeowner’s particular hobbies or interests. The stools basically look like giant spent ammunition cartridges. They’re available in a bronze or silver finish, and the coolest part? They can be joined together to form a low table or a bench. Pretty neat, eh?
