Revijour True Love Tester Bra: If It Ain’t True Love, It Ain’t Unhooking

True Love Tester Bra

Japanese lingerie company Ravijour has come up with a revolutionary albeit unusual piece of lingerie dubbed as the “True Love Tester Bra.” As its name implies, the brassiere comes with built-in sensors that monitors its wearer’s heart rate and vital stats. The sensors also keep track of the secretion of a certain hormone called Catecholamine, which apparently is secreted only when a women is truly in love.

Data on these stats are sent via Bluetooth to a smartphone that’s running the bra’s companion app, which measures heart rate elevation, to determine whether it’s the real deal or just a fling. When it’s deemed to be the former, the app will wirelessly unhook the bra.

It’s definitely an interesting concept, I’ll give it that. But is it practical? I would say no.

Clap-Off Bra Deserves a Standing Ovation

Here’s an invention that would go well with the Clapper: a bra that unclasps when you clap. Now that’s a reason to turn the lights down low. You’d think this gadget would be a hit on the Internet, but its Kickstarter was actually a massive flop. I am disappoint. Or not.

Instructables member Randy Sarafan posted instructions to make the silly undergarment. But he didn’t come up with the concept; he only tried to replicate a novelty item that’s apparently already being sold in Syrian markets. Here’s a NSFW demo of the bra:

The fact that the bra already exists may be one of the reasons why Randy’s Kickstarter didn’t succeed. We need someone to import the thing; not invent it. Then again I think his cheesy pitch video is mostly to blame. As of now it seems like it’s easier to build the bra than negotiate with the Syrian lingerie experts, so head to Instructables for Randy’s walkthrough.

DIY Musical Light-Up LED Star Wars Bra

Well this certainly is an odd one. Instructables user caitlinsdad made himself a Star Wars bra. No, not a Slave Leia one, an “Adafruit Flora Theremin LED Bra”. There’s an ultrasonic range sensor and photocell detector sensors connected to an Adafruit Flora Arduino wearable circuit board with a piezo buzzer speaker. What that means is that when you get close to it, it beeps and bloops like R2-D2:

Yeah, that’s weird sounding, yet oddly soothing. That’s supposed to be an X-Wing Fighter on the left, the Death Star on the right and the poof on top is the planet Alderaan (as well as the speaker). It’s a little rough around the edges but nice job to the maker of this one. Definitely unique.

R2-D2 Bra Lights up, Makes Sounds: Bleep Bloop Boob

Last month we saw a pair of custom R2-D2 heels that used components from a toy Artoo to light up and make sounds. Instructables member Seamster used the same tactic but instead of making a shoe, he made a bra that some of you might have been looking for.

Seamster made two pairs of ‘bot bras, one dubbed the “R2-DD2″. The first one uses duct tape for the dome and is relatively easy to make, while the one pictured here has a dome made of papier-mâché and wood fillings. It’s harder to make but as you can see the end result is really cool. Though it doesn’t look very comfortable.

Head to Seamster’s Instructables page to find out how to make one of these awesome bras. C-3PO must be so jealous of Artoo.

Pokeball Bra: Gotta Keep ‘Em All In

Pokemon Bra

I don’t think you’ll be catching much of anything with these Pokeball bras unless you’re planning to wear just the bra (and nothing more) out in public. Of course, you’ll be getting a lot of attention and catching the eye of many, but it’ll probably be from the type of people you wouldn’t want it from.

These bras are crafted by Etsy seller Neon Wonderland and are geared for the true-blue Poke-fan. It won’t matter if you’re gifted or not in the chest area, because you can specify the padding level you want the brassiere to have when you place your order. Each Pokeball bra is encrusted in hundreds of rhinestones that will sparkle and shine with every move that you make.

They’re priced at $70 each.

Rhinestone Pokémon Bra: Gotta Catch All ‘Em Boobies

Go figure that this isn’t actually the first time we’ve featured a Pokémon bra here on Technabob, but this is most definitely the sparkliest Pokémon bra we’ve had on the site. And since you guys probably can’t resist a good pair of Pokéballs Pokéboobs, now’s as good a time as any to feature this sexy/geeky underthing.

This shimmering Pokémon bra was made by Claire of Neon Wonderland, and is covered in literally hundreds of colorful rhinestones. They’re available in any cup size and padding level you’d like – but only the basic Poké Ball design. Maybe if you’re nice to Claire, you can convince her to make a Sport Ball sports bra. They sell for $70(USD) over on Etsy.

World’s Biggest Bra is Up for Auction on eBay for a Good Cause

World's Biggest Bra

Ladies and gents, feast your eyes on the World’s Largest Bra, which is a mega-sized 1222B! But before we talk about this ginormous piece of lingerie, let’s talk about the events that made it happen.

Bigger isn’t always better except when it has something to do with a certain part of your body–and by that, I mean your heart. (Just in case you were thinking of something else, which I totally had no intention of making you do. Snicker.)

In all seriousness, having a figuratively bigger heart opens your eyes to the plights of others and the realities of the world. Cancer takes away so many precious lives every year, especially breast cancer, and the sad thing is that some of these lives could have been saved by treatment, had they made the discovery sooner. One way to do that is by getting regular check-ups. And one way to remind men and women to do that is through an awareness campaign, like the ones that the Breast Cancer Campaign is doing.

Some people decided to help out the BCA this year and they did so with extremely huge efforts: by making the 97-foot long brassiere you see above (and after the jump!)

World's Biggest Bra

Talk about huge.

This huge bra was certified as the world’s largest last October. It was going to be recycled into sailcloth, but then someone came up with the idea of auctioning the nearly 165-pound bra off on eBay instead. Right now bidding is at £2,051 (around $3,300) and all proceeds will go to the UK BCA’s ‘Wear it Pink’ campaign.
