Pac-Man Mug Powers You up with Caffeine

Pac-Man was the first video game I ever played in the arcade back in the day. I remember not making it very long because I was always trying to gobble up the power pellets and didn’t do a good job evading the ghosts. Fans of Pac-Man who prefer to get their power up via caffeine instead of gobbling up dots might want this mug.

The 3D sculpted mug has a large curved yellow handle and Pac-Man’s smiling face. His eyes look a lot like the Pac-Man in the old games. The mug is made of ceramic, which means one drop and no more wakka wakka wakka. It’s not microwave safe, and you also have to hand wash it, just like an actual Pac-Man.

It will hold 20 ounces of whatever you want, and Amazon (affiliate link) will sell you one for $14.99.

Star Wars and Marvel Meta Mugs: Arm Yourself with Caffeine

If you’re like me, you could always use another cup of coffee. If you’re going to constantly be reaching for a hot cuppa joe, you should drink it out of a cool mug, I say. Firebox has some fun mugs for fans of Marvel superheroes as well as Star Wars which are worth checking out.

First up are the Marvel Meta Mugs, each of which features the chest of a famous superhero. What makes them special are their handles, which each look like the spandex-clad arm of one of your favorite heroes. They come in Black Panther, Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Hulk, or Thor versions.

If you prefer your coffee like your men – Dark-sided, then maybe a Darth Vader, or Stormtrooper mug will do the trick from the Star Wars Meta Mug collection. My personal favorite is the C-3PO mug – which has a shimmery golden look, and all those wires in his belly.

All of the mugs are available from Firebox for $13.99 each.

PlayStation Controller Coffee Mug: Live In Your World, Drink in Ours

Like many of you, I’ve been playing games on Sony PlayStation consoles since the very first generation. I’ve also been drinking coffee for decades – though recent medical issues have forced me to stick to decaf – blah. Still, I like the morning ritual of a hot cup of joe, and think I’ve found the mug I want to drink mine from now.

This sweet ceramic mug features a mini original PlayStation controller as its handle. It looks just like the real deal, but don’t turn it on it side to try and play Jumping Flash or Parappa the Rapper with it, or you’ll spill hot coffee all over your lap.

The mug is decked out in classic PlayStation grey, with the PlayStation logo on one side, and the brand’s iconic button shapes on its reverse side.

PlayStation fans can grab the mug over at Firebox for about $17.

The time-telling vase…

clock_vase_1

It’s quite poetic that Jaro Kose integrated the vase with a table clock, because both are, in their own ways, indicators of the passing of time. One’s more calculated, while the other one isn’t The clock tells you of each second passing by, while the vase holds flowers that, with time, grow and die, giving you a sense of the passing of time and the fragile, ephemeral nature of life.

The Clock Vase comes crafted out of ceramic, with gold-plated hands and an overall minimalist, modernist style. Its white design complements most spaces (white ones too), while the greenery you choose to put in one of its two openings gives the clock an absolute pop of color. Captivating, isn’t it?!

Porcelain Stormtrooper Lamp: The Empire Lights Back

Stormtroopers seem to break pretty easily, so it only makes sense that you’d make one out of porcelain, right? That’s exactly what artist Erifyli Tsavdari of Keramiki has done here with this cool desktop sculpture, inspired by the iconic white Stormtrooper’s helmet.

The porcelain Stormtrooper helmet measures about 8.5″ tall and features a textured floral pattern that’s common in porcelain work. Inside, there’s a socket for a light bulb, which casts a warm glow through the translucent clay helmet. I imagine that the rest of the porcelain Stormtrooper was shattered by Rebel blaster fire, and that’s why all we have left is this helmet.

Each lamp is handmade, so it’s likely to have some imperfections, which only seems appropriate for a Stormtrooper. Keramiki also has some sweet ceramic Darth Vader mugs if coffee is more your cup of tea.
