Lumi Portable Air Purifier Concept removes airborne particles and pathogens

Lumi Portable Air Purifier Concept Design

The benefits of air purifiers are aplenty, and we believe such devices can now be considered a must-have in every home, office, or establishment. The pandemic has made air purifiers an essential tool to help clean the air we breathe in.

Even without the threat of Covid-19, air purifiers are essential because they reduce viruses and contaminants usually present in the air. They used to be more prevalent in cities where air pollution is a chronic problem. Today, we see variations of air purifiers in different forms, shapes, colors, and sizes. We spotted the Lumi, and we think it has the potential to sell if when it becomes an actual product.

Lumi Portable Air Purifier Necklace

Lumi is a Portable Air Purifier Concept that can be worn around the neck. The necklace-type air purification unit offers pure and sterile air to the wearer. Its distance to the user’s face is just right to keep any pollutants and airborne pathogens away from the person. This wearable air purifier is ideal for those with existing respiratory conditions.

You can easily attach and wear the portable air purifier. Simply clip the small device to your shirt or wear it as a necklace. You can also clamp it onto your backpack. It can be worn by anybody who is going out of the house. It’s ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

The Lumi purifies the air around you to have peace of mind. Of course, it’s no guarantee that you will not get covid (if that is your worry), but you can at least not constantly thinking about breathing in other germs and bacteria. Such an air purifier can help reduce those pathogens up in the air.

The Lumi Portable Air Purifier Concept is rectangular shaped but is rounded on one side. It fits right in your hand and can be clipped onto a pocket if you don’t want it hanging like a necklace. The size may be a bit larger than most air purifiers we’ve seen, but we’re assuming it’s because it can cover more area to purify.

The top portion shows two openings assuming where clean and purifier air comes out. We’re not sure how and where the dirty air is sucked in, but there’s a recessed portion on one side of the Lumi. We’re guessing that there are four LEDs on one side to tell us the battery status.

Concept Lumi Portable Air Purifier DetailsThe Lumi Portable Air Purifier is rendered in different colors: White, Black, Purple, and Blue. The power button is on the left, while the recessed part is on the right. There is a clip at the back which reminds us of the first generation iPod Mini from 2004.

Air purifier and humidifier concept makes sure you’re breathing in good air in your room

Every day, I probably spend 95% of my time indoors, either in my own home or at the office. If I lived in a place where it was not so hot/humid most of the time and where there’s actually a place for me to walk around, I would go outdoors every few hours just to breathe in fresh air. But since I have no choice but to be inside most of the time, devices like air purifiers and humidifiers are a must-have. This product concept seems to be an interesting one that I would actually purchase if the price is right.

Designer: Li Xundi

The P&H Air Manager is a concept for an air purifier and humidifier in one that has a water system to help do its job. And in case you want to use just the humidifier part, it can be detached and used separately. Using it and controlling the device doesn’t seem to be too complicated as you only have four buttons that you need to use and understand: the power button, the speed controls, the button for the humidifier function, and a sleep button in case you need it to automatically turn off after a certain time.

The device has a colored fabric cover so you can choose which one will best match your room motif or which is your favorite color. There’s a screen underneath this fabric that will display the room air quality so you can start purifying or humidifying. It will also remind you when you need to replace the filter or else it won’t be able to do its primary function of keeping the air in your room clean. The “air inlets” are located in that gap around the sides of the fabric cover.

The purifier part has a water bucket but this time around, it’s easier to fill out as you don’t need to remove it, unlike with most existing purifiers now. You can bring over a bottle of water to fill it up. There are LED lights that will show you the level of water inside so you won’t overwater it or you know if you need to add more. Design-wise, the device looks more like a smart speaker rather than an air purifier and humidifier, which can be a good thing for those that want their devices and appliances to match their decoration.

An air purifier and humidifier is a must-have for someone with a “lifestyle” like me (and when i say lifestyle, I mean I’m always inside) so this is a pretty good concept product that I might want to get if it gets to the production stage.

Dyson Zone headphones purify the air you breathe while you enjoy your favorite tunes

Listening to calming music or energizing beats is more effective when you’re confident that you’re breathing in clean air, even in the middle of a busy city.

Dyson is a brand that’s probably best known for consumer electronics that have something to do with sucking or blowing air. Vacuum cleaners, hairdryers, bladeless fans, and air purifiers are all part of the company’s best-known products, but that doesn’t mean there’s little room for growth. None of these things can be used outside, especially while walking down city streets. Dyson’s latest product hits two poor birds with the proverbial stone, delivering the air purifying experience the brand is famous for in a pair of headphones that promise hi-fidelity audio in a visual design that fits alongside Dyson’s vacs and hair dryers.

Designer: Dyson

The Dyson Zone is a first in many ways. It is the company’s first stab at the growing wearables market, specifically the ill-named “hearables” that refer to headphones and earphones, especially those that connect to smartphones. The exact specs of Dyson’s first headphones are still undisclosed, but there are already a few key features it has mentioned that will have audiophiles curious about this new contender. At the top of that list is active noise cancellation or ANC, which is becoming a standard with over-ear headphones these days. That alone already gives the Dyson Zone a leg up among other audio accessories, but that is honestly just the tip of the iceberg.

The biggest draw that the Dyson Zone will have is the “visor” that will cover your nose and mouth without actually touching them like a traditional mask. This visor actually delivers fresh, clean air coming from the sides of the headphones, purified from the very air that surrounds you, regardless of its quality. Unlike regular masks, it doesn’t just filter out particles and pollutants but actively cleans the air, a process that Dyson already has down to a “T.” Razer’s now-controversial Zephyr RGB mask definitely has nothing on this.

Dyson’s story on how the Zone went from concept to prototype to final design is also quite interesting. They even went as far as creating a specialized mannequin with artificial lungs so that they could monitor how effective the purifier is in cleaning the air around it. The company also took extra care in making sure that the visor is comfortable to wear, as discomfort and irritation are some of the biggest complaints mask wearers have had in the past two years.

“Air pollution is a global problem – it affects us everywhere we go,” says Chief Engineer Jake Dyson, and the Dyson Zone is the perfect solution for that. It delivers not only “a plume of fresh air without touching your face” but also “pure audio, anywhere.” And just like Dyson’s other products, it bears the company’s signature design language, a harmonious mix of shiny silver and solid color accents, making it a clear member of the Dyson family, even if it stands out as its only wearable, at least for now.

Blow is an air purifier that also doubles as a plant caretaker

For those of us who live in buildings or spaces with air-conditioning, there is the tendency to keep the windows closed especially during hot weather. But one of the things that the pandemic has taught us is that there is a need to have free-flowing air around us and so we need to crack open that window every once in a while or at least have an air purifier in your house to make sure that the air you’re breathing is still pure. This concept design has turned this device into part of your room decoration and also into a “planterior” air purifier.

Designer: Yunho Kim

The usual air purifier is really more functional as its main purpose is really to do as its name says. But this concept design for the Blow “planterior” air purifier was born out of the desire to make the space where the device is placed not become just a “dead space” where the purifier is just standing there. The inspiration for the design itself are the windows that some of us don’t want to open anymore, either because of heat, humidity, and other health-related reasons. The idea also was added for the commonplace “button” to not just become a mechanical solution.

The Blow design mimics that of a window, or particularly the venetian blinds but this time it’s left to right and vice versa rather than up and down. When you slide the handle, the cover on the front slowly opens and in turn, also turns on the air purifier. How strong the flow becomes depends on the degree that you operate the handle. So it mimics the natural wind that we feel when opening a window and how much wind comes in depending on how much that window is opened. The air is purified through a filter and then discharged through that window frame. The carbon and HEPA filters are easily replaceable to ensure that you’re really breathing in purified air.

The Blow air purifier is also designed so you can place plants on the “windowsill” and give it not just purified air but also lighting through its LED lights at the top. It looks like how you’d place plants on an actual windowsill so you can “grow” them better even if it’s far from an actual window and sunlight. Of course, plant experts would say that natural is still better but this is the next best thing if there’s no area to give them natural light and air.

You can place this air purifier in three different ways in your room. You can use it with leg stands and place anywhere in your living room or office space or you can put it on a table or the floor directly without the stands. You can also hang it on a wall using brackets, giving it more of a windowsill vibes. It’s definitely better designed and more functional than most air purifiers so it’s something a condo-dweller like me can consider.

Medium Air Freshener-Purifier brings all seasonal scents into your home

Medium Air Freshener Air Purifier Concept

The air around us is generally clean, but it still needs purifying and, in some places, humidifying. There are plenty of air purifiers or air humidifiers in the market, but most look bland and boring. So a South Korean designer came up with something that looks more like home decor than an air freshener. Meet the Medium Air Purifier and Air Freshener in one.

We live in an era where stuff for the home can always look pretty while being functional. South Korean designs are known for their playful spontaneity like this Medium. The Medium is a new concept product that gives off a nice scent that can fill up a room. It brings seasonal incense and evokes memories of the past.

Designer: Minji Son

Medium Air Freshener Air Purifier Concept Details

You can experience Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter with the Medium. There are objects that pertain to every season that you can put inside the container. Medium’s air purifying function happens inside the device. Air gets inside and is then filtered by a HEPA filter. The latter can filter even fine contaminants and common viruses. The purified air gets out through exhaust and even helps to spread the clean and fragrant air in two directions.

Medium Air Freshener Air Purifier Details

The Air Freshener-Purifier appears to be standing tall, firm, and secure. It has a rounded square base and a tower shape body that becomes a circle on top, covering the components. There are touch buttons on the rounded triangle-shaped top surface: Power, Breeze, Cool, Strong. The middle part is open and it is where the seasonal scented objects can be seen. It can be assumed those objects are scented so fragrant air can be enjoyed inside the room.

Medium Air Freshener Air Purifier Concept Design

There aren’t many air purifiers and air fresheners in one, but this Medium certainly offers more than just purified air and fresh scents that seem to come from nature. The device is available in different colors like orange, green, brown/red, and blue and white gradient. The scent of nature during different seasons could be the smell of stone, sea, snow, flowers, leaves, or rain. Each season comes in separate boxes so you know what scent for the air you may want to take out and use right away.

Medium Air Freshener Air Purifier Seasons

Air purifiers have become essential necessities in this day and age when safety protocols must be followed. An air purifier may not catch all viruses and bacteria in the air, but at least, it can give you peace of mind amidst the air pollution. It’s perfect for those with rhinitis or allergies, as tiny pollens and fine contaminants are just out there.

Bauhaus Air Purifier Concept is a marriage of art and function

BAUHAUS Air Purifier Concept Design Details

Bauhaus design style has always been about combining beautiful art with function. They say a good design is both aesthetic and functional and this Bauhaus Air Purifier concept delivers functional design with an artsy industrial form.

This is only a concept design, but it is a perfect example of the brand’s “simple yet sophisticated” design philosophy. This air purifier concept wants us to focus on simple shapes and colors. It shows off ultimate modernity using circles, lines, and squares–all while offering impressing air purifying performance.

Designer: Keereem Lee

BAUHAUS Air Purifier Design

Concept BAUHAUS Air Purifier

The air purifier project was based on a Bauhaus poster that showed a combination of colors and basic figures. The sharing and arrangement of the elements result in a friendly and attractive retro-modern look. The air purifier appears to be like the 3D version of the Bauhaus poster, so you can say this is design coming to life.

The technical specs of the Bauhaus Air Purifier aren’t listed, but since it is from the brand, it would be able to perform well. It doesn’t look like those boring air purifiers we see in the market and have become popular, especially in the past two years of the pandemic. This air purifier can be customized in terms of colors, depending on the owner’s preference. It has a unique style and layout that you can’t find in any other air purifier. It boasts an industrial design that can fit most home interiors. There is a vent hole underneath the round part of the air purifier.

Color options include Forest Sunlight which is more dark green like the forest, offering a more relaxing environment. The Rapeseed Flower version shows off the brightness of rapeseed flowers dancing to the wind during the spring breeze in Jeju Island. Pure Snow delivers the pureness of white snow without any trace of footprints. Finally, silent Night is dark gray, showing odd the tranquility of darkness and refreshing night air.

Just looking at the Bauhaus Air Purifier will inspire any creative or artistic person. It also offers an intuitive design with the placement of the buttons. There is a power button, fan intensity, auto button, timer (1/3/5 hrs), and double mode.

Designer Keereem Lee is no stranger to us. He was the one who introduced the Waiter microwave. We want to see both designs become a reality someday because they are really smart and innovative. You know the designer really knows design as he was able to offer outstanding aesthetics and function that design-savvy people want to see go into production.

Blur Air Purifier concept will let you see and feel when dirt and dust have already stacked up

Blur Air Purifier

Air purifier sales have definitely picked up the past couple of years. The pandemic has made people more conscious of hygiene, cleanliness, and organization. If you’re part of the group still not into the hype, it’s probably time to start now.

We’re not telling you to put air purifiers in every corner of your house. That is a great idea but know that not all purifiers are created equal. There are cheap ones that claim to clean the air. The mid-rangers do fine but they don’t really tell you how dirty the air is or their filter needs frequent changing. In contrast, there are more expensive ones that can detect air condition and do the work accordingly.

Designer: Jaejeong Ro

Concept Universal Air Purifier

Blur Air Purifier Tech

Blur is a Universal Air purifier that can tell you the condition of the surrounding air. It offers information visually. It also gives such information with a simple touch. With the translucent glass, you can see the accumulated dust. The concept is also designed with “touch”. With a sense of distance, one can identify the tactile phenomenon of dust.

Blur Universal Air Purifier Concept

Cleaner air should be the goal of everyone but we know it’s not an easy feat. Air pollution in some parts of the world is getting worse but there is already a move to go greener, cleaner, and smarter. With this Blur Air Purifier, current air condition can be provided on a scale of 1 to 100. The number will show up on the top display with LED lights. The up and down movement of the glass panel allows a sense of distance.

To turn on the air purifier, you need to press the glass panel. The purifier air goes out of the gap. The display can tell you the status of the filter. It means it’s very dirty when it’s translucent. You can also check dust accumulation by simply feeling and touching the space on the side. Dust stacks up so you will feel and know that there’s too much dust that gathered already.

Blur Air Purifier

The Korean concept designer used a simple shape for the Blur Air Purifier. You would think this is another smart speaker. It will remind you of the first-gen Google Home speaker. It doesn’t have any speaker function so don’t expect it to tell you to clean your surrounding.

Universal Air Purifier

The design of the air purifier fits most room aesthetics. But then we’re certain will mistake this for an audio device as it really looks like a smart speaker more than an air purifier. The holes you see are not speaker grills–they are where dirty air is sucked in so don’t attempt to put your face near lest you want to breathe in the polluted air.

Turntable and air purifier merge in one appliance to create a clean ambiance in your home

Imagine, after a long day, you walk into your home and pleasing music (you had preset) begins to play. The air purifier kicks in simultaneously to ensure, no matter how much pollution you have inhaled outside, the air at home is clean, fresh, and welcoming. Designed in form of a turntable, AETHER is a concept that makes this possible.

Clean air is important for lungs and blood circulation. In fact, it is important for our well-being. And since the pandemic has pushed us all into the confines of our homes, we are spending approximately 90 percent of our time indoors. Researches prove that the concentration of certain pollutants is often up to five times more than the typical outdoor air. This means the air we breathe at home, in spite of believing it is the freshest, is not clean.

Designer: Hyunbin Yang

A nice air purifier can help improve the air quality indoors, helping you reduce allergens and other pollutants. But a good air purifier needs to be really powerful to do so and pleasing enough to be placed in any room of the house. Combining the goodness of air purification and music with an aesthetically pleasing form factor, designer Hyunbin Yang has conceived the AETHER. This Bluetooth speaker and air purifier in the shape of a modern turntable can be a centerpiece of disguise no matter where you choose to place it at home.

The speaker is controlled remotely by a smartphone or smart device to play any music you like, well before you set foot into the house. So, the time you have can be spent on other tasks, while the mood of the house is already set. The biggest advantage that the AETHER has over the other air purifiers we have seen in our time is the convenience with which the air filters can be swapped. Here changing the filter is as easy as replacing a vinyl on the turntable.

AETHER, like most gadgets these days, features a USB Type-C port for charging and has two speakers one on either side to deliver handsome audio, you’d want to appreciate. In the middle of this turntable is the air purifier display while a push bar on the frame allows you to toggle the air purification strength. Alongside the volume knob, you have a button to turn off the speaker, when you want to. Though there is a lot of work that needs to be done to make it a valuable air purification device we’d want to vouch for, for now, we are simply floored by the portable design, color combination and of course the idea of combining the two things we need to make the home environment cleaner and lighter.

This air purifier’s TPA technology is quieter and more effective than a HEPA filter… and it kills viruses too

With its patented purification tech that can trap everything from dust to even odor molecules, the Kronos© Air 5G© is a sleek, quiet air purifier with a small visual and energy footprint. Its collecting plate can be washed and reused, saving money as well as reducing waste, and the purifier itself is so effective, it comes recommended even for asthma patients and people with allergies and lung diseases.

This may sound like somewhat of an exaggeration (and it’s absolutely alright if you think so), but the air purifier is set to be the next biggest revolution in urban living, after electricity, cars, and the internet. As we finally begin realizing that air quality isn’t something we can collectively ignore, the purifier is poised to become a must-have in every home, offering a higher and better standard of living by giving us healthy, clean air. Why else would the Tesla come with an over-the-top ‘biohazard’ air purification mode??

Unlike regular purifiers that use HEPA filters, which are about as primitive as just using a piece of cloth to trap particles, the Kronos Air 5G Model 5 (or X5 for short) uses technology that’s much more capable when it comes to trapping particles, destroying microorganisms, and freshening and disinfecting the air. The Kronos Air 5G X5’s collecting plate actively destroys 99.99% of airborne bacteria, mold, and virus particles (it’s also been tested and verified to destroy the COVID-19 virus), while also trapping and destroying air pollutants down to 0.0146 µm (that’s about 30x smaller than what a HEPA filter can catch). Meanwhile, the Air 5G X5’s filter-less collecting plates can be clean and reused over and over again – all they need is a rinse under running water and they’re ready to be reused, cutting down on recurring costs.

Each Air 5G X5 comes with internal laser air sensors that can detect the air quality in the room, displaying it on the purifier’s screen along with a colored LED light to tell you whether the air is good (green), moderate (orange), or in desperate need for purification (red). When switched on, you can either control the X5 via a smartphone app, or allow it to automatically adjust its functionality based on your room’s air quality. Once active, the X5’s high-volume airflow can disinfect a 450 sq. ft. room thrice every hour, while generating a quiet hum that’s definitely on the quieter side compared to traditional air purifiers that have to push large volumes of air through a thick HEPA filter. Meanwhile, the X5’s technology can trap and neutralize regular pollutants like dust, pet hair, and pollen, microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, and molds, as well as bad smells and odors, cigarette smoke, and even asbestos particles.

The Air 5G Model 5 is the mid-sized purifier in Kronos’ line-up, perfectly sized for regular homes. It occupies 1 sq. ft. of space on the floor, and stands at just 2 feet tall, making it small enough to place in most rooms. The X5 has a power consumption of 60W, making it about as energy efficient as a light-bulb, and is priced at a discounted $549 with a 1-year warranty, and a reusable collecting plate that doesn’t incur any additional costs for the next decade or so.

Air6+ Air Purifier by YFLife

The AIR6Plus purifier by YFLife is about the size of a smart speaker and can be placed anywhere within the house… yet within it is air purifying technology so advanced, it’s even used by NASA. Referred to as photocatalytic oxidation or PCO, this technology obliterates any kind of germ or organic compound, turning it into CO2 and water. The technology would normally sound like overkill for using inside our homes on planet earth, but considering deteriorating air quality, the presence of pathogens, and a whole host of other organic compounds (smoke even) … it actually makes for a rather advanced air purifier that gives you the cleanest breathable air possible. Operating with a simple touch of a button, the AIR6Plus comes with 3 fan modes, and can sanitize the air down to 0.001 micrometers within a space of 360 sqft without generating any sound or even any waste… and with a ridiculously energy-efficient power consumption of 13W (that’s about as much as an LED bulb). Bradley Element Tactile Wristwatch by Eone

Easily one of the most iconic watches of modern time, the Bradley watch from Eone comes with a spectacular design that’s backed by an even more incredible story. Named after former naval officer and Paralympic Gold medalist Bradley Snyder, the watch hopes to champion inclusive design by being a timepiece that you can read not just with your eyes, but with your hands too. The watch hopes to celebrate the brave legacy of officer Bradley, who lost his vision while diffusing bombs during his time stationed in Afghanistan. Championing Bradley’s no-can-do attitude, the watch features two ball-bearings that magnetically travel around the timepiece’s face to read the time (one bearing on the front tells the minutes, and another on the rim tells the hours). The wearer can simply run their finger across the watch to feel for the bearings and get an immediate sense of what the time is. If the bearings shift position while you touch them, they can slide immediately back thanks to the underlying magnets… which make the award-winning tactile timepiece double up as a nifty toy too!

Moreover, using it is bafflingly futuristic. Just load your smoothie ingredients into the Millo, screw the top on, and rest it inverted on the base… and just like a phone starts charging the moment you rest it on a wireless-charging surface, the Millo begins whirring and blitzing all your ingredients into a fine smoothie. You can control the Millo’s intensity by sliding your finger around the rim of the base, as lights under the surface come to life, letting you see what power you’re running the blender at. When you’re done, lift the blender up and the blade magically stops spinning. It’s a sight to absolutely admire! Yes, this blender is everything Steve Jobs would love.
