Giant Cat Head Mask: Here Kitty, Kitty…

While Halloween is still almost six months away, I can think of no costume I’d rather be wearing this year than this awesome giant cat head.

This amazing creation was made by artist Housetu Sato and a team of students from the Japan School of Wool Art, and it simply the most awesome / creepy / weird  thing you’ll see today.

As you can see from the pictures, a giant cat head goes perfectly with everything, and is the best way to dress the next time your office has a casual day.

Zelda Triforce Woodburned Box: Take This.

This nicely detailed Zelda Triforce Woodburned Box is perfect for all of your health potions, rupees and other adventuring gear. You could even keep your Nintendo DS Zelda cartridges inside. It is nicely detailed, looking like it came straight out of Hyrule.

Straight Outta Hyrule. I hear that’s the next title in the series and it is rumored that Dr. Dre (or is it Dr. Wario?) will be involved. Anyway this 7″ x 4″ x 2.5″ wooden box is pretty awesome. It has the Triforce emblem from the Legend of Zelda series burned onto it’s surfaces and the box is lined with red felt. It’s also finished with teak oil to give it a slight shimmer.

This is some nice Nintendo nerd decor. If you don’t buy it, I will. It’s only about $45(USD) on Etsy.

Adventure Time Pocket Plushes

These Adventure Time toys are little plushes that you can store in your pocket, on your desk, shelf or wherever. Your pocket is best though. It’s where they feel at home. They are pretty adorable. They come from Etsy artist nuffnufftoys, but I beg to differ with that name. You can never have enough toys.

They only have BMO, Lemongrab, Peppermint Butler and LSP, but outside of Adventure Time they have a lot of cool characters to choose from.

They have an adorable style and if you buy one, you’ll no doubt have to buy another and another. They only cost $15(USD) each. These little homies are Mathematical!

Felt Apple Watch: Force Touch

No matter what you think of the Apple Watch, it’s definitely got a distinctive look – especially the user interface. For those of you jumping on the bandwagon, you’ll have to wait until the end of April before you’ll be able to wear one. In the mean time, crafter Hiné Mizushima decided to make her own Apple Watch.

felt_apple_watch_2zoom in

It’s made from felt and buttons, so it probably weighs much less than the real deal – plus you never have to worry about it running out of battery. This thing is so neat. I just want to mash on all of its buttons.

Great job, Hiné! Also, your squid hat is awesome.

Thor’s Mjölnir Purse: Strong Enough for a Man, but Made for a Woman

Whoever the woman is who holds this purse, shall possess the power of Thor. And with it, the power of lipstick, mascara, and everything but the kitchen sink. Since Thor recently became a woman in the comic book, this Mjölnir purse seems particularly appropriate.

I’m not sure that Lady Thor would carry this into battle, but it makes a good fashion accessory. This Mjölnir hammer is a creation by Meryle Idzerda of Geek Retroactive. She made it by wrapping a cigar box with lambskin leather with a gunmetal finish.

It looks pretty good, and it can be yours for $250(USD) over on Etsy. If anyone tries to steal it, it’s going to hurt getting hit over the head with this thing.

Glitter Bomb: Ship Your Enemies Glitter is Pure, Brilliant, Eviiilll

I have a ten-year-old daughter, which means roughly 97% of all the clothing in our home has glitter on it. I’m not sure if all the glitter that ends up on my skin is from the glittery clothing or if ten-year-old girls simply secrete the stuff. What I am sure of is that glitter is the spawn of Satan and will never come out of upholstery and you need a knife to cut it off your skin.

If you have someone you really hate, a new website has turned up that may be the most evil and brilliant invention in history. It’s called ShipYourEnemiesGlitter.com. You won’t want to visit this site at work, unless you need to order something “nice” for your boss, because the f-bomb is used a lot.

Why ship your enemies glitter you ask? The website says it much better than I ever could: “First off, use your f*cking imagination. We’re going to be pouring a tonne of glitter into an envelope with a folded up piece of paper. You know what’s going to happen when that f*ckface opens the envelope & pulls out the letter? The craft herpes will be released & will go everywhere.”

You can send an anonymous glitter bomb to anyone you want for $9.99 AUD (~$8 USD) and they won’t know you sent it unless you tell them. Sadly, their website is currently overwhelmed with orders from sickos, but I suppose you could always just fill an envelope with the stuff, and leave off the return address.

Knitted Food is Extremely High in Fiber

While I prefer to eat actual food, I have to say these hand-knit lambswool foodstuffs look pretty awesome too. They’re made by artist Jessica Dance, and definitely are definitely making me hungry just looking at them.

If you’re wondering what makes them look so appetizing, it’s that Jessica worked with food photographer David Sykes to help style and compose the plush foods into just the right mouth-watering poses.

Lego Minifig Mittens Are Also Good for Robots

LEGO Minifig Hand Syndrome, or LMHS. It’s a common problem that afflicts many of us. It comes from playing with LEGO for too many hours straight. Your hand begins to cramp and before you know it, you have a LEGO minifig hand. But don’t worry. Despite your ability to grasp things like a robot, and your limited ability to do anything involving fingers, there is a glove for you.

lego minifig mittens 620x674magnify

These LEGO minifig mittens are perfect. They were made by Carissa, a crafter in Dallas. They are obviously inspired by the hands of LEGO minifigs. They will keep you warm and are also perfect for LEGO cosplay.

Don’t let LMHS slow you down. Wear these mittens. You can find the complete pattern here.
