This fastest triathlon bike by design comes with a built-in hydration system and adjustable parts!

The Plasma 6 is the latest triathlon bike from Scott Sports was designed to be the fastest triathlon bike ever built. Equipped with a built-in hydration system, optimized aerodynamics, adjustable parts, and integrated storage compartments, the Plasma 6 just needs to bring you over the finish line.

Different bikes call for different designs. While an electric city bike might boast hubless wheels and smart control panels, off-road bikes lean into an ergonomic build and keep a tight focus on horsepower. Triathlon bikes are all about aerodynamics and a lightweight frame, prioritizing function over aesthetics. The Scott Plasma 6, the next-generation triathlon bike from Scott Sports, was built for one reason and one reason alone: to be the fastest triathlon bike ever built.

Following the Plasma 5’s debut, Scott Sports started work on its successor, the Plasma 6. Four years later, the newest triathlon bike from Scott Sports touts a versatile and optimal shape for aerodynamics and a fully integrated design complete with hidden storage compartments and a built-in hydration system.

The designers behind Plasma 6 mention how they took into account the aerodynamics of the moving rider from day one, designing and fine-tuning the bike in a wind tunnel to ensure practical improvements are made in real conditions.

Constructing the Plasma 6 to perform at top speeds required a lot of conceptual planning on the design team’s end. Recognizing that the down tube’s prime position is just behind the front tire, the Scott Sports designers also confirmed that when the wheel is that close to the down tube, turbulence is much more frequent.

Adjusting the positioning only slightly to avoid that close of contact between the down tube and front wheel, Scott Sports left a wide gap between the two parts, giving the bike enough room to make turns without prompting any turbulence.

Since the closer the rear wheel is to the seat tube, the more aerodynamic Plasma 6 is, the designers at Scott Sports designed the rear wheel so that it could be adjusted to six different positions before the rider reaches the ideal distance between their seat tube and rear wheel.

Then, riders can rest assured the Plasma 6 doesn’t hold out on any of the integrated storage compartments the Plasma 5 was known for. In fact, the built-in storage system is even more advanced on the Plasma 6. Describing the new storage system, Scott Sports notes,

“It allows all spare parts, drinks, and nutritious snacks to be integrated into the frame. The new hydration system allows you to quench your thirst and have a snack while staying in an aerodynamic position, and even refuel without getting off the bike.”

In building the Plasma 6, Scott Sports hoped to build a fast bike for any type of rider, even outside of racing. From the rear wheel adjustment system to the integrated storage compartments, it seems the designers have thought of everything to ensure a smooth ride. Taking it a notch further, the pedals also run on an adjusting track that riders can change as they see fit. The cockpit and forearm skates are also adjustable for riders to find their most comfortable position.

Designer: Scott Sports

Easy to remove and attach to the bike, the gel canister can hold 400ml and is made from antibacterial polypropylene.

When tucked away, the gel canister is out of sight.

The Plasma 6’s adjustable seat comes with an attached holder for water bottles.

The simple frame reveals integrated storage compartments and adjustable features that give Plasma 6 an aerodynamic performance.

The Halo Band will cost $99.99 and the service (which is required for Halo’s more advanced features) costs $3.99 per month. Health and wellness are one of the few industries still thriving in unprecedented times because physical and mental well-being is of utmost priority for everyone right now. Halo’s most exclusive feature is the fact that it creates a 3D model of your body and tracks the emotional tone in your voice for an even more personalized wellness journey. Technology with EQ (emotional quotient) capabilities are rare and mostly seen in experimental robots. Another thing that sets it apart from others in the market is that it doesn’t have a screen which indicates that Amazon wants to focus less on sports and more on lifestyle changes.

Built for Titan, a prominent watch and jewelry brand in the country, the rings come with a metallic finish and sit inside one of two sleek, matte black cases – for charging at home and for charging while traveling. Happy Ears earplugs debuted in 2015, going on to becoming a favorite of users as well as organizations and events like SXSW and Lollapalooza. The earplugs helped people to sleep peacefully, work quietly, attend concerts “responsibly” and simply help people avoid hearing loss in the long term from being in high-decibel environments. Happy Ears came with a sleek, oval design that could easily fit snugly in each ear, with a barely noticeable stem that didn’t obstruct your sleep or movement in any way. Now they’re back in their same, slim, reusable avatar, albeit with one small, significant upgrade… they’re made entirely out of recycled plastics that help reduce ocean pollution as well as noise pollution! The ‘Happy Ears Recycled’ aims at tackling the waste created by the 1 billion single-use earplugs that are worn and discarded as trash each year. Made from FDA-approved 100 % recycled ABS and TPE plastics, Happy Ears help take plastics out of our oceans and are designed to be worn multiple times for years, preventing any reentry of plastic into our natural ecosystems.

Home Gyms designed to perfectly complement your IKEA furniture + help you become your fittest version!

The pandemic has restrained most of us to our homes, and not that we needed any more excuses to bunk the gym, but now we have a legitimate one – there’s literally a virus on the loose! But ignoring our health and fitness is something we simply cannot afford to do anymore. If there’s one thing that COVID-19 has instilled into us, it’s that health really is wealth. And, as much as I love procrastinating, and putting off any form of exercise for as long as I can, I cannot deny the fact that health must be considered a top priority for us all. And, so what if we cannot go to the gym, we can bring the gym to us! This collection of home gyms will not only motivate you and excite you to workout, but will also ensure you stick to your daily exercise routine. No more skipping leg days!

Oliver Perretta’s Kondition was inspired by a piece of furniture that actually resembles a standard workout bench, IKEA’s BEKANT series. Both IKEA’s BEKANT and Perretta’s Kondition have similar personalities. They appear as modest, simple furniture designs whose true essence shines through in their ability to blend into any given room. At first, an unassuming side bench or low-rise table during living room hours, and then an adjustable home workout with a sliding bench come gym time. Perretta was certain to make bullnose corners for Kondition’s workout station to enhance both the piece’s adaptive nature and its approachability in its inherent baby-proof design. Additionally, Perretta plans to utilize aluminum extrusion in any eventual construction process to ensure a high strength to weight ratio for more intense workouts. Stamped panels also make for easy and deep cleaning so that job won’t ever feel stressful after a good sweat.

Peloton Vibe caters to every sense and muscle from start to finish, it is truly a whole vibe. The bench has a unique multi-position arm that can be moved to work with a variety of exercises. The lower portion stores a set of dumbbells that help expand to a larger range of guided workouts by the Peloton App service. Once you complete your workout, the bench seat and arm surface seamlessly transform into a massage experience. It utilizes built-in massage balls that can rotate and heat up based on your preferences. At-home gym equipment AND at-home spa? I would work out more often simply so I can make the most of the heated massage feature.

A simple web search can lead you to a host of foldable and space-saving exercise bikes but if you do your research, you’ll find there are none that can provide professional quality work out at home and fold up to the size of a carry-on bag when you’re done! This is where the Breakaway Bike steps in with its immensely compact size. Made from aerospace-grade aluminum, the bike measures 16 x 23 x 8-inches when packed down and weighs only 35 pounds. The bike boasts of being the world’s first exercise bike that can be conveniently folded down so you can pick it up and store it away in a closet at home or under a table in the office until it’s time to get pumping! Get a full-sized workout, close up shop in seconds, and hide it away under the bed – it’s all so easy. Interestingly, you can also load the Breakaway Bike in the boot of your car or can fit it in the overhead bin to be carried where your work takes you!

Whilst gym equipment may look right at home in… well, a gym, it does clash with the décor of most domestic settings. Seeing as we certainly don’t need another excuse not to exercise, it’s about time we have a more desirable alternative to all that clunky equipment! The solution is FUORIPISTA, a piece of fitness equipment that is undoubtedly an aesthetically pleasing object while meeting our functional demands. FUORIPISTA’s transparent legs achieve a visually light design so it can sit unobtrusively within the room. These legs have been paired with a wooden body that makes up the frame of the bicycle; with the design being treated in a manner that complements the existing furniture within the room instead of standing out and creating disharmony.

This hubless e-bike perfectly balances an artist’s brush stroke with sleek aerodynamic design

BaoPham Design’s aerodynamic e-bike is something straight out of the cyberworld of Tron.

Bicycle design concepts have a way of transporting us to our favorite sci-fi flick or parallel universe where everyone hovers instead of pedals. Whether the year is 2140 and we’re zooming through the neon streets of Tokyo to catch up to the corrupt corporate villain or fighting zombies on an electric mountain bike deep in the woods of Georgia, there’s a bike concept to fit the bill. Product designer and 3D visualizer, BaoPham Design recently unveiled their plans for an aerodynamic e-bicycle destined to hit the streets of tomorrow.

The e-bike concept from BaoPham Design features centerless wheels that reduce the rotating inertia found in heavier wheels. Equipped with slim road bike tires, BaoPham’s concept e-bike boasts an aerodynamic build that cuts out the extra drag from air pressure and skin friction to give the bike a speedy ride. Conceptualized with a swift, Z-frame, the e-bike concept from BaoPham Design would host an electric motor located in the bike’s rear-wheel rotor that would be activated once the pedals are moved.

The Z-frame of BaoPham Design’s e-bike would be constructed entirely from metal or aluminum for a sleek look and swift ride. Additionally, the hubless wheels of BaoPham Design’s e-bike reduce the rotating inertia found in wheels with spokes and a hub. The aero bike seems to be rendered in an entirely metallic or aluminum body, including everything from the handlebars to the paper-thin pedals.

3D modeled with Shapr3D and rendered in the KeyShot app, BaoPham Design imagined an aerodynamic electric city bike that enhances the bike’s essential parts and moves past the bulky components of yesterday. While it’s currently only a concept, BaoPham Design’s e-bike might not be hitting the streets anytime soon, it’s not hard to imagine a future cyber world filled with these slick aero bikes pelting down city streets and weaving through traffic.

This Nike-inspired fidget tool + massager is a stress-relief EDC for pro footballers

Football players are shaped to be performance-oriented, however not much is spoken about the toll taken on their mental health; a designer believes a fidget-like device with a massage feature may do the trick.

Fear and anxiety hound us everywhere. Whether on the field, in the classroom, or at a party with friends; you name a situation and you’ll find anxiety is shadowing you. For sportsmen, anxiety is a part of the game, with each player having their own little ritual to help them focus – we have heard about players considering throwing up good luck to even the lucky jersey, personal battles to mitigate stress are fought by everyone.

According to data shared by Professional Footballers’ Association, a huge number of players are now seeking help for mental health issues ranging from performance, competition, to acceptance. Since there is no existing product that addresses the issues governing mental health directly, Breathe, is a device designed specifically to help footballers prevent anxiety.

The handy gadget designed by Varun Anand is a fidget EDC/tool that uses buttons. The oval plastic body features soft foam material on the underside which mimics the shiatsu massage technique. The entire device works as a solution to help the user stay calm and relaxed pre and post-game, improving the player’s overall performance.

Inspired by Nike’s design language and branding, the Breathe also calms the user by delivering positive messages and storing peppermint gums within its cavity. The anxiety kit uses stimuli such as texture, feel, touch and feedback to reduce anxiety and stress, allowing players to focus. Breathe fits ergonomically in the hand and is attached to an anti-slip strap, so a footballer can use it during practice and is easier to store when not in use!

However, look closer and they’re actually a catalog of 118 exercises/postures for you to choose from! Fulfilling the role of a mat as well as an instructor, the Kyoma Yoga Mat really gives you a neat menu of positions to choose from. The mat’s graphics are split into two distinct categories with 59 stretching exercises and 59 yoga postures, and there’s even a Kamasutra edition with 59 poses, but hey… we’re a family-friendly website. Go look it up on your own if you want.

Meet the CLMBR, it’s a combination of an elliptical trainer, a bench-press, a stationary cycle, and has elements of cardio dancing, HIIT training, and even rock-climbing in it. Designed to give every single muscle in your body an intense workout, the CLMBR helps 60% more calories than running, rowing & bike workouts… and its vertical design allows it to fit into the smallest of homes and rooms. Designed as a response to several restrictions imposed during the lockdown, the NIKE AIRBUDDY is a conceptual drone that ‘spots’ you while you exercise. It can be carried around via a shoulder strap located on the base of the drone and can be deployed anywhere. Once in the air, the drone connects with your Nike Fitness App and tracks your performance, giving you a comprehensive breakdown of your routine at the end. The drone embodies a clean, sophisticated design language, with 4 rotors branching out of a capsule-shaped body. The drone’s body is outfitted with a single camera that acts as a watchful eye, observing every movement you make like a trainer would.

Merging the home gym with storage capabilities, the Stoyka from product design studio Dydykin is a power rack for the modern home designed to look like high-end furniture. Since physical fitness has become integral to our daily routines, the purpose behind Stoyka aims to strike a balance in using living spaces as fitness studios. In finding that harmony, the designers behind Stoyka integrated a storage system into the power rack, which slides out from behind the power rack’s rear wall. These sliding racks carry enough room to store the power rack’s barbells, round weighted plates, as well as rack accessories like support beams and spotter’s arms.

No hate on Peloton, but the Ciclotte Bike has a strong potential to take over the market with its sleek and space-saving design. The Dyson-inspired aesthetics give it a big edge over the traditional stationary bikes, this almost looks like an accent piece for your living room! The new normal has enforced us to take a hard look at our indoors – and reinvent the services we depended on that are outside our home. One of the major hits in this scene was the gym and fitness department. Not only were your local yoga studios and power workouts now out of the picture, but we also had to look deep inside and bring in the discipline needed to pull this on an everyday basis minus the peer pressure of missing a class.

This modern kettlebell merges your living room design with your workout from home routine!

Hi Moon features an open, circular design that appeals to many modern home design elements.

Working out from home has changed the way we design free weights and exercise equipment. With our living rooms doubling as makeshift home gyms, all of the equipment that comes with it makes a mess of the room. Weights pile up in the corners and random workout gear clutters the couch.

In order to make a kettlebell as inconspicuous as any other living room product, a team of designers created Hi Moon, a circular kettlebell that could easily pass for a modern vase or piece of ceramic artwork. Hi Moon would look right at home beside a small bouquet of flowers or even on the windowsill.

Available in three muted colors, Hi Moon comes in coral-green, cloud grey, or peach orange. The array of available color options gives Hi Moon a versatile edge, fitting into several home color and design schemes. No matter where you’re working out at home, Hi Moon adds a touch of style to every home gym and living room.

The gritty texture of Hi Moon allows for easy handling and a secure grip. Following a period of brainstorming, Feier Design Studio settled on a final color scheme and shape for Hi Moon. Conceptualized in cloud grey, coral blue, and peach-orange, the design can seamlessly blend into any home color scheme. The circular, open form of Hi Moon appeals to the modern home and boasts an overall inconspicuous design.

Kettlebells are generally known for their bulky shape and awkward grip, but Hi Moon’s smooth finish adds a little more comfort to the traditional kettlebell and allows for a variety of different exercises and grip positions. While the more traditional kettlebell features a round triangle handle, Hi Moon rounds that out even further and gives it a gritty texture for easy handling.

This multifunctional product has been designed to work as a clothing rack and a treadmill!

We love multifunctional product designs here but I have to admit, I have never thought of a treadmill and a clothing rack in one! But then again, we use our office chairs as an “open closet” so this concept isn’t entirely alien. ‘Walk and Hang’ is a project that functions as a basic treadmill as well as a clothing rack in one sleek design.

Both clothing racks and treadmills are usually an eyesore in any home because they look out of place and are super bulky. One of the key aspects of ‘Walk and Hang’ is its aesthetically pleasing form that looks neither like a treadmill nor like a clothing rack. In fact, it looks like a minimal standing table if I ever saw one inside someone’s house and had to take a wild guess. It rests in a folding table-like form and can be opened fully into a treadmill or only partly at the top for the racks. It saves a lot of floor area indoors, especially if it’s a shared space and even more so after the pandemic where you need more room for a work-from-home setup.

“I tried to satisfy everything of the product’s original function and user’s habits, and solved space problems and considered usability by combining the two products together,” says designer Jinyoung Noh. Since this is a concept, I will let my imagination run wild – clothing racks are often placed where sunlight hits the hardest so clothes dry fast, I would love to see this treadmill be turned into a solar-powered one by capitalizing on that same sunlight. ‘Walk and Hang’ is a slim treadmill and definitely the most beautiful clothing rack I’ve ever seen!
